Capcom has announced at Tokyo Game Show 2015 that its upcoming role-playing game Monster Hunter Stories will be adapted into a TV anime and broadcast on Fuji TV in 2016. Stories, which is also scheduled for release on the Nintendo 3DS in 2016, is a spin-off work of the popular action role-playing game series Monster Hunter.

Another spin-off work, MonHun Nikki Poka Poka Airou Mura, was adapted into two flash anime shorts in Summer 2010 and Summer 2011.

Third announcement in a row about a video game adaptation. It's like video game fever today.
I'm no special story or anything. I'm just a manga that wants to be read, like you could find anywhere. But, if, for argument's sake, you were to adapt me into an anime series, it would certainly be....a tragedy.

I realize that, but it seems like every video game is getting an anime adaptation.

Lame. Would've been more interesting if it was the main game rather than this kiddy-looking spin-off.

It does not look that appealing compared to Ace Attorney.

Wow three AMAZING game adaptions in one day. I feel proud to know all of these series
Let’s say you drink too much strawberry milk, and have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. You don’t want to get up, but the urge to urinate is just too strong! You run to the bathroom, stand in front of the toilet, and let loose! You think that all your life has led to this moment! YOU'RE STILL IN BED! That feeling of lukewarm wetness spreads! But you can’t stop! THAT’S THE TRUTH OF THE STRAWBERRY MILK! DO YOU GET IT? ~ Gintoki

Man that's two Capcom games getting anime adaptation announcements today, I wonder if Capcom has any other anime announcements to make lol. I'm actually interested in playing the game (provided it actually gets localized), but I don't know about an anime adaptation, I guess it's to early to say though.

Doubt I will be watching this spin-off. I hope there will be an adaptation of the main series by a good studio that knows how to make an interesting video game adaptation.

Yup exactly.
Still surprising how long it took for an anime to be made considering how big a franchise Monster Hunter is.

The game looks cute (a bit pokemon-ish), but I have never in my entire existence played a MonHan game before, and this is a spin off so I'll probably pass this time. I'm sure this anime's merchandise will be extremely cute.

Yes....FUCKING YES!!!

I've been playing MH since MH1 and I have racked up over 400 hours in each MH game. Except MH4, I only played 100 hours. It's sad to see that not a lot of users here play MH. You guys are missing out. It's one of the best co-op game I have ever played.

Wait a minute...Why am I getting my hopes up? MH does not have a story to begin with and that's the whole point of the MH series.

You probably don't have friends to play with. MH is more fun playing with friends and online

Nah, it looks so childish, but we can't judge an anime by how it looks. *cough* *cough* School Days

Not the kind of Monster Hunter anime I envisioned but I might give it a shot. I wish I never lost interest in this series but I just never liked the transition to nintendo. I played MH3 Wii and MH3U on 3DS but I couldn't keep playing any longer even with friends. I miss the good ole' days of playing MHF2 and MHFU on PSP. I probably won't play again unless they miraculously release on Sony systems (to which I highly doubt would happen).

I would have preferred an anime adaptation of the main series. This spin-off looks extremely "kid-friendly" to me, and not in a good kind of way.

Tried this on TGS, original MonHun is still better but this one is really fun in its own way.

Will probably check the anime later

It's fantastic that a good series like Monster Hunter gets a childish anime based on a spin-off and instead a mediocre series like God Eater gets a decent anime.

This is the first I've heard about this and I'm mostly just excited because I was just today lamenting the lack of Monster Hunter games in which a monster could be tamed and ridden when lo and behold there it is, they're making one.
