| There are rumors of a FLCL remake, and I'm curious about how those of you who have seen it feel about it. Is a 2015 remake a great idea, or should it be left alone? Personally, I say leave it be. 6 episodes short and sweet, vintage 2000 Gainax flair, and don't be Hollywood needlessly remaking stuff that is already perfect as it is. | FLCL is something that is hard to get right. It's chaotic and random but that doesn't mean that it doesn't make any sense at all. A remake would be great but I doubt that IG could pull it off as well as Gainax did. |

"Half assed story" the entire point of FLCL is that is doesn't try to hit the same beats as other anime. It did what it wanted, played by its own rules, and was better because of that. Considering the vast landscape that is anime, there is definitely a ton of room for anime like FLCL to exist. Give me a hundred anime with traditional character development and a coherent plot, I'd still take FLCL over 90% of those because most don't have the balls to be original or different. |

| I don't know how to feel about this.Unless they're remaking it to add more to the story then that would be interesting. But I always like FLCL the way it was. | Don't really care tbh. No matter what you think of it the series is exactly what it was meant to be. Gainax might be all but dead now, but to me but the show was tied to the old style of Gainax. Production IG but I don't see them being able to pull off that of properly and without that FLCL is just won't be FLCL. |

| I would be in for a remake, in terms of animation similar to the NGE movies with a newer animation style/quality. But to also make it worth the effort of remaking it, they should keep it's short length and either add or change some of the story to make it more interesting, a new spin would be interesting. The original is great the way it was, I'd be just fine if they don't remake it too. |

| Well in my first year of anime watching I was unable to get through 1 show and that was FLCL. It was literately giving me a headache, so no thanks. I always that the visuals were cool looking in the show so don't see why it needs to be redone. I'd like to see Rurouni Kenshin redone and made without any filler. |

| I'd watch. I liked FLCL, it had sort of a hyper-kinetic, cocaine esque quality to it that gave it a unique charm. It's like an actually good version of Gurren Lagan (Overrated as !@#$*& anime btw) |

| FLCL was great because of the whole scene surrounding it. That specific period of manga to anime adaptations, the animation trends going on at the time, mecha and cyberpunk on its best, GAINAX coming out of an almost-bankruptcy, I.G. on its best days, the funky musical score, fucking Ogura!, everything. It's (relatively) old and has terrible in-betweens but is iconic because of that, because of the damn lore. A remake is pointless and unnecessary, will probably end up like EVA Rebuild, a piece of soulless shounen crap. |
