| In the last ten years, it's Madoka Magica. Seriously, i didn't pay attention to this show at all when it was airing, thinking that it was just a generic Nanoha clone. It wasn't until late 2012 when i stumbled upon Zac Bertschy's review of it that finally got me interested to give it a try. Then i proceeded to marathon it and my mind was blown. |

| Chihayafuru - the intensity of the matches was something I honestly didn't expect, I don't think there is any other sport anime that would keep me on edge of my seat like this one about "boring Japanese poem reading card game" Shirobako - OK I sort of expected I would like it but not that much Strike Witches - Yeah well, studio Gonzo doing anime about war where "half naked" teenage girls in their flying machines fighting strange "mecha aliens", what could possibly go right, right? |
| Rokka no Yuusha. I thought that it would be full with cliches and kind of boring, but it really turns on to be really nice show. I am glad because of that. :D |
