a good software to make amv on mac osx

Hi there, is here some mac user who can suggest me a good and simple program to make amv on mac?
I need something that can handle mkv good...

*Grumbles about PC favoritism in the world of anime distribution* Indeed, it is a bit difficult to find any good software for the mac unless you really want to go all out and get some of the nice professional stuff. I liked iMovie a long time ago, but then they updated and made it worse, in my opinion. I'm currently running Final Cut Express, but I have to use other programs to get some video formats to work with it. iSquint is one that's usually pretty helpful, it's designed to format videos for use on the iPod, and puts out videos in mp4 format without giving up too much quality if you use the upper settings. I think it is able to handle converting .mkv files to mp4, which should make it easier to work with on a mac, but I'm not 100% sure, haven't needed to check if it can for a while. I'm still trying to see if there are any other good programs out there for Mac users, but I hope all this helps.

You hitted the point! Actually I'm not making amv, however, I think that when I'll do them I'll use any video converter to edit mkv and make little mp4 with the scenes to join (it really works fine!!!) and then try to use imovie or do the jump and try with final cut to joint the files :*
