I thought that it'd be another slow-paced episode, but I didn't expect this. It looks like Nao's brother is getting better.

I just hope Jun Maeda doesn't throw us on another wild ride by making Nao disappear before the concert in the next episode, given the ominous title "The World Not Present".

Yeah I hope nothing happens to Nao

Yep. Pretty much what I expected after seeing the preview: mediocre. I liked some things, disliked others, and overall it was decent but rather underwhelming and low-key.

The humor was ... well, it was back again, but I don't feel like repeating my opinion on it after every episode. I've pretty much accepted it at this point. On to other things.

Yuu has seemingly made an incredible recovery in that he is no longer a psychotic, grief-crazed mess, but this only makes it more obvious how rushed his development has been. The writers threw a couple lines in here and there just to remind us that Ayumi's still dead and he's still suffering, but the difference between this Yuu and the Yuu of last episode is just too vast, especially given that apparently not much time has passed at all since then. I still think his recovery could have used another episode, just so the pacing is better. But alas, we apparently have more important things to focus on, like watching music videos. Speaking of which ... was there ANY point to that at all?

Sala was fine. I'm a bit worried that they are introducing a new character at this late point, but I'll reserve judgement for now. She's barely been explored.

On the more positive side, I thought the scene with the brother was good, if unrealistic, though if I was supposed to feel anything it didn't work (maybe I'm just heartless). Yuu and Nao's growing relationship was quite nice to see. I like them together, for whatever reason - I'm not even sure why myself.

Really hoping that something happens with the concert next episode, as we certainly got foreshadowing for it. It's beyond time for the plot to shift into high gear. Or, you know ... to start. To really start.

You could easily tell that Sara's character was going to be great as soon as she opened her mouth:

MIYUKI SAWASHIRO~~~~~~

We got to see Iwasawa's reincarnation, which a lot of us had been waiting for <3

Helping Nao's brother through song eh? I'm surprised it had any effect. Will something big happen at this Zhiend concert?

Well, the first part of the episode was really funny. I would have complained about the mood being way too different from the previous episode but it's been a week so it doesn't feel that bad.
I know people are tired of Nao's "Such a turn-off!" joke but it made me laugh this episode because she was directing it towards the entire class. Seriously, the whole class is all hyped up and then there's Nao sitting in a corner and telling them off. I don't know why but that scene seemed hilarious to me.
My only problems are that Yuu and Sala's meeting was way too random (okay, fine; I'll attribute that to plot convenience...) and the fact that Nao's brother got well just like that. It's good that he's getting better but it seemed a bit too easy.
Nao's quite a character though. She's super hyped up about the ZHIEND gig but she couldn't care less about meeting Sala. Poor Yuu. He tries to do something nice for her and then that's how she reacts.

^^^This was my reaction at that point too. I was expecting Nao to be a lot more excited...
But at the end when Nao called Yuu, there was actually a hint of emotion in her voice for once. She was sincerely grateful and that's good to see. I just hope that this isn't what the Nao-Yuu-falling-from-the-sky scene in the OP was referring to because that would be pretty anticlimactic.
As far as the Nao/Yuu ship is concerned... it most certainly is moving forward. Yuu didn't bother to deny anything when Sala referred to Nao as the person he cared about. That's a good sign, isn't it?

I doubt this will happen but I kind of wish it would just for the sake of some drama. I really don't get in which direction Charlotte is heading.

I wonder if Sala already time-travelled and lost her eyesight because of that...

Hmm, I think it's not a terrible anime, but it looks like a wasted potential nevertheless. I like the time leap theory, however, I don't see any major information on screen. They prefer to go with running gags and if it's their way to distract us from the actual plot, I'd say it doesn't have a positive impact. I was expecting something better after the previous episode. Oh, well.

Really good episode. Yuu got to hang out with a person that really was able to relate to his situation. I didn't expect that Tomori's brother would become sane, but tbh. that was a pretty nice miracle :)

Well, I learned a lesson today: never judge an episode by it's preview.
I liked almost everything in this episode, especially Yuu's development. After episode 7, I'm glad that they put a funny and emotional episode at the same time. And that last part, when Nao's brother gets better and she says "thank you" to Yuu, I wanted to cry. And also Sala introduction was really nice too, I liked her personality.
For me, this was one of the best episodes so far.

Ehh you know what I mean, 12 or 13, there is no difference.

I like this anime as I like every Key's production. It has that specific vibe which causes that I can't wait for next episode. Charlotte is not something which I rate 10/10 (for now), but it IS something different than usual anime. This is the reason why I like it that much.

I read some time ago that the show is going to have an After Story like Clannad or Little Busters' Refrain. I think it was said by Jun Maeda on a Tv program. He also said that the beginnig was going to be slow and we have to watch at least 6 episode before drop it or not

How old is Sala supposed to be? Her backstory made it seem like she'd finished school sometime ago but her singing healing the brother makes me think it was due to her power that the brother was healed (Whatever that power maybe) which would require her to be an adolescent . . .Unless she feels she is a "kid at heart" so much she got to kee her power XP

I don't think it was a power that healed Nao's brother, just anime logic thinking insanity can be cured by singing a familiar song to someone.

While I do like the anime, I cringe every time the other characters imply romantic interests between the main characters. So forced IMO -_-

I really don't think there was any other point...

Also, while Nao was on the phone with Yuu, what exactly was she doing? She seemed to be roaming the streets alone aimlessly. I guess she doesn't want to go home because she lives alone.
Will they ever show us where Nao lives? I want to know if she lives in the condo where Yuu lives or if she stays somewhere else. I also wonder if Nao's going to bring her brother home now.

Nao probably just sleeps in random people's houses while invisible - she doesn't actually have a home. She's so practiced, Yuu didn't even notice her when she did it to him.

Decent episode. I liked the part where they brought Nao's brother in, but really 'healing' him was just a bit too much for my liking. I hope we get some explanation from what happened and what his state is now (is he really sane again?).

Please note that he is not 100% "healed", he just somehow recognizing people for now.

I hope you're not serious about this... --_--
And if I were to take this seriously, Nao can only make herself invisible to one person so no, she's probably not sleeping in random families' houses.

I dunno, it just seemed, with the conversation they had on the bus and Sala's whole "atoning for her sins bargain with God" that the bargain had to do with her powers but you may be right . . .thanks for your help. Also there's the fact that the brother really liked ZHEND so Sala's presence and singing may have really helped him . . but as you said, that's definitely some out there animu logic.

I think it was included to add comedy to the episode via Takajo's almost orgasmic reactions to anything related to Yusarin.
I'm no special story or anything. I'm just a manga that wants to be read, like you could find anywhere. But, if, for argument's sake, you were to adapt me into an anime series, it would certainly be....a tragedy.

If Sala had any power, I would think it'd be telepathy. She has a really uncanny and accurate way of knowing exactly how Yuu is feeling and what he is thinking, which she claims (rather unconvincingly, imo) to deduce from sounds he makes. She also guesses correctly that he was not always as nice as he is now.

Though it's likely just because she is supposed to fit the cliche of an extremely wise person with a disability.

Loved the episode, it make me actually cry at the end. There is so much character
development of the MC, he and Tomori make a great couple. I can't really wait to the next week episode, how is going to continue the story from here? I want more scenes with the singer of ZHIEND, her story make me wonder if the "cheat" she talked about has to do with time leap? maybe she has some kind of power.

Mediocre episode once again with gratuitous amounts of Engrish. Sala is probably the most likable character of the show sadly. Also she actually moved the plot along a bit.

oh.. interesting, if that's true. didn't occur to me when they showed his "brother" as being part of his fuzzy memory.

anyway, i was wondering why only Yusa's sister haunts her body. And can't Misa see other spirits? i was hoping that if Ayumi's now a spirit, she could take over Yusa's body. only that she may not know she can take it over. that's where Misa could help.
