I wonder how long the Tokyo Ghoul hype is gonna last.....

Was hoping Prison School would make the list, and that Bleach could pull off another week on the list.....

Yes, Akame still there.
But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.

At least Japan has different taste and not one manga or light novel that dominates the top 10 for more than 5 weeks (or a hundred weeks!) but let's stop with this bullshit.

After looking at this list for many months now I seriously have to ask where the second volume of shingeky is?
Is there such a big gap between the first and second volume in yearly sales reports? Are people just waiting for something that they don't buy any other volumes?

Finally someone said it. <3
I'm not sure but I think all the people in U.S bought First volume of AOT! 60% of them are not into volume 2. Well, that's what my friend said who is living in NY! XD

Wow, still no Prison School guess most are all talk and not buying it (I got volume 1)
Kinda shocked to see Devil is a Part-timer, I mean it was a decent anime but didn't think the manga would sell that good.

Hope to see Spice and Wolf LN in top 5 later this month same goes for Highschool DXD or maybe even Dungeon for a change.

"all the people in U.S" lmao, that would mean 300 million volumes sold.

To answer your preoccupations, AoT other volumes are still selling but it's just that they sell about half to two thirds of volume 1 (besides spinoffs that is.). Vol 2 and 3 would frequently appear if this was a Top 15 or Top 20, but the threshold for a Top 10 is too high. Here are their print values for last year in the US:

54,520 ATTACK ON TITAN 1
37,266 ATTACK ON TITAN 2
28,342 ATTACK ON TITAN 3
25,747 ATTACK ON TITAN 10
24,822 ATTACK ON TITAN 9
22,906 ATTACK ON TITAN 11
22,047 ATTACK ON TITAN 4
19,555 ATTACK ON TITAN 12
19,440 ATTACK ON TITAN 5
19,354 ATTACK ON TITAN NO REGRETS 1
18,402 ATTACK ON TITAN 8
17,777 ATTACK ON TITAN 6
16,207 ATTACK ON TITAN 7
14,454 ATTACK ON TITAN 13
13,044 ATTACK ON TITAN BEFORE V1
10,457 ATTACK ON TITAN 14
8,104 ATTACK ON TITAN JUNIOR HIGH 1
7,894 ATTACK ON TITAN NO REGRETS 2
5,322 ATTACK ON TITAN BEFORE V2
5,305 ATTACK ON TITAN COLOSSAL E 1

Well, AoT volume 1 has been on Japan's weekly lists exactly forty-two times (Out of which 28 were consecutive).

Shounen dominance. Not a bad list but ehh. Did any of us actually buy one of the listed titles/volumes this week ? Sounds like a fun thing to know.

Well, the art for aot vol 1 is not eye candy looking so I'm not surprise that some people didn't bother getting the other volumes especially people that are New to manga.

The majority of folks that are buying the manga actually watch the anime already.

Ask the Gintama English manga version fans that question. You will get to hear just why it does matter for some of us and Publishers like Viz,
