i use Foobar2k. i particularly like that it has gapless playback, and the UI is pretty neat
You can buy lossless digital music from your favorite Japanese artists on https://ototoy.jp/.
The songs are all DRM-free and you can re-download your purchased albums as you wish.
Show your support to your favorite artist if you can!
ps. if you are looking for Japanese albums, you have to search it in Japanese (not romaji). Just copy and paste the name.

I use iTunes 11 because I like having play counts and I'm too scared to upgrade to 12 to see what other features they break.

But can vouch for foobar2k, solid player.

I still use Winamp. I can't figure out how to organize the Foobar UI. I want a list of my genres and I want albums to be grouped under the artists, like in Winamp.

^that pic reminded me of a program in which chibi Miku would "sing" the song in your playlist.
(when not singing, she would just be sitting and smiling at you)
it's been a long while since i used it, don't remember what it was called.
(and i think you could choose other anime characters, my memory is a bit fuzzy)

I'm interested in trying music bee.

Anyone know how to set it up properly, for best play back and organization?

If I try foobar again, what are the best settings for it. I prefer to keep it simple.

There really is no such thing as 'best settings'. You can customize it however you want with what it has to offer。I keep Foobar simple myself but with components I like.

I know how to add components, but some buttons don't appear, or when i clicked something another thing disappeared. Its hard to explain. I feel like its too sensitive, if you know what I mean. I'd like to keep it stable and simple, and easy to use. Logic being I shouldn't have spend an hour to make things work right (its a music player).

What settings do you use?

I use Foobar2000 but have been having a bit of trouble with lyrics display; I generally use MP3Tag for tag editing, and its UNSYNCEDLYRICS lyrics tag manager. However, for FLAC, the default tag for lyrics is LYRICS, and for Foobar it is UNSYNCED LYRICS.

Would anyone know a way to solve this problem (one way or another) ?

VLC FTW! I like to keep it simple without several apps doing the same thing anyway. VLC can play everything in Windows so it's my choice. MOC & Mplayer2 in GNU/Linux.

if you're still active use AIMP 4 it has active anime community and it doesn't need you to require learn advance setting for about a week just to play music like foobar does.Furthermore there's no ani skin for foobar but AIMP has plenty and plenty of them just search google.
It just does what it needs to do.Play music in high quality without any nonsense

iTunes. Been using it for probably about ten years, and I'm content with it. But if there was a way to transfer my playcount data, I wouldn't mind digging into foobar.

VLC is the best in my opinion since it's multipurpose for both video and audio even plays MKV format videos. The layout is very simple as well.

Why is Foobar so organized on Android and completely disorganized on Windows? On Android you can view by genre, artist and album, but on Windows there are none of those trees. Still using Winamp, but I'd like to use Foobar.

Clementine is pretty useful. The only bitching being Spotify doesn't seem to work on it anymore and the radio no longer seems to scrobble. I like Foobar a lot but it's rather too bloaty.
