NGNL appears to be doing well with its Vol.7 while Bakemono LN continues to sell like crazy! Also seeing quite a lot of Overlord volumes too. Good good.

Damn, 3 weeks in and still no 100k. Guess all novel sales will be slowing down from this point. NT 12 really did a number on Index.

Vol 19 had 72,936 ( http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1389545 ) so... Born heavily backfired LN sales... Now when they see how awful it was, I hope they will create remake that is actually follows novels.

*6. 22,502 *38,405 High School DxD Vol.20

No Game No Life is only at volume 7? Thought it was further along than that. DxD getting much better sales with a full week in hand. Blade Dance, Vanadis and IS all selling great which is fab to see. Would like to see future seasons of all but realise that is hopelessly optimistic. IS, NGNL and DxD maybe less so but not see IS anime adaptations yet so don't know what they adapted.

That Overlord boost increasing as the weeks go by and the anime gets stronger and stronger, not surprising, every episode just raises your interest and enjoyment of the series even more.

...you do realise you're comparing a volume with 10 days sales to a volume with around 7 months sales right? Not sound silly to you?

Hopefully Rokka no Yuusha jumps up a bit in the upcoming weeks.

Glad to see Bakemono no Ko doing quite well though.

I tought that NGNL would sell more... Nothing like Oregairu and Mahouka in sales at this moment. Any LN that has anime currently airing has a huge boost like DanMachi neither. I hope Rokka no Yuusha gets a boost soon...

It was at volume 6 when the anime started airing. Since then the series has been on hiatus up until now as far as the novels go. It's been almost a year and half between v6 and v7 in terms of release dates

Well officially it's more like v7 just kept getting consistently delayed, but in practicality it was more or less on hiatus

It is good to see that those titles are having good first-week sales, at varying degrees. No Game No Life takes this week's top, after more than a year since the previous LN release. On the other hand, while it isn't off to a blazing start, Rokka no Yūsha's numbers are still at an acceptable level (now, if it was below 5,000...). Since there aren't any news on other LN, I'm guessing that this will be the only LN to be release in the same timeframe as the anime's airing, but maybe it will get a nice boost overall later on.

These series deserve a bigger boost, a shame the anime adaptions aren't as great as it could have been. Good job to Overlord though, raking in all those sales despite the less than stellar anime. Imagine the sales if it had a higher quality adaption.

These of course caught my interest, good to know the sales are going strong for these series after the ending of the anime adaptions (or in anticipation for upcoming ones).

Congrats also to Nidome no Jinsei wo Isekai de and Magi Craft Meister, both are good sellers for HJ Novels and MF Books respectively.

Popularity and/or quality of the anime adaption can affect the sales of the light novels.

RnY volume 4 had 5 days in its first week and did 7.3k.
RnY volume 5 had 3 days last time to rank in the first week and didn't manage (cut of was at 5,8k so it did less than that in 3 days).
RnY volume 6 had 3 days to rank and did 7.2k

There is a small boost. As I said before, i'm expecting any boost before episode 4 anyway, at best. Since RnY volume 6 was published right before episode 4, I'm not surprised that it doesn't benefit for any strong advantage from the anime. Now will it get some or not at one point... Dunno. It depends on the otaku watching late night anime. Who clearly are the kind to favour more Overlord airing right after RnY than RnY itself ImO~.

A shame, really. But now since all 7 braves have met, I can expect the juicy parts of volume one to be adapted. I admit it was slow, but from now on its nothing but hype.

So is NT13 will be the first NT volume in a while that can't even reach 100k sales ? Index 3, you can come out by now.

Still sad by Rokka's low sales.

On the other hand, Overlord managed to get some boosts despite how trashy the anime is.

NT13 not reaching 6 digits is such a shock. Gosh.
I'm so happy for Blade Dance. I didn't expect people would still buy it after a year of hiatus.

Not low, particularly for just 3 days, but then it isn't exactly high either.

Overlord is experiencing the expected boost. One I predict to see continuing for weeks to come.

While NGNL only confirms that it needs a second season already. And on that note let me ask those who know-- how much of the books was covered by the first anime?

It is.
To put you in perspective, there were 59 non-adult light novels released last week. Plus I think about 7 or 8 adult ones.
Rokka no Yuusha's sales were 11th out of those 59 (in terms of release date it was on the median) and top of the seven Dash Ex Bunko releases.
As for 70k, there are entire months that don't have a single series selling 70k on its first week.
Weekly light novel releases (from 20/10/2014)
Monthly light novel sales ranks (from Jan 2015)
Bestselling light novel volumes of the year/all time* (and more in the same club).

NGNL volume 7 looks awesome. Not that I've gotten up to volume 6 (collecting the English novels as they come out).

Why is every rokka fanboy hating on Overlord >.>, even the fluffing discussion episodes of Overlord are full of rokka fans trashing the anime. Do you feel that you have something to prove just because "your ln/anime" isn't doing as good?

I know what you're trying to do but it doesn't really work in this case because Overlord is factually doing better than Rokka.

You didn't need to. Except if you meant that Overlord fans are hating on Rokka because Overlord is doing better than Rokka. In which case,... uh yeah, are they?

They aren't, but I can tell you "Rokka" hasn't been mentioned a single time in Overlord episode discussions threads, Arcanix is just butthurt for some reason.
