9 light novel adaptations, 1 adaptation of a manga based on a light novel (this one), 2 series based on manga that also have light novels as part of their broader franchise (Haikyuu!! and Owari no Seraph), 2 anime with a light novel spin-off (K, Soukyuu no Fafner), and one based off a spin-off of a manga that has a light novel version (hokuto no ken), and one from an anime franchise that has had multiple light novels (Gundam)

That comes to 16 TV anime. Am I missing any?
Bestselling light novel volumes of the year/all time* (and more in the same club including weekly series ranks etc). <-- No longer being updated. Sorry.

There are rumors that Muv-Luv: Schwarzesmarken may air in Fall 2015. It even got a somewhat related news recently:
http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2015/07/18/additional-muv-luv-schwarzesmarken-cast-listed

Not confirmed yet though.

OT:
It looks like J.C. Staff isn't adapting this. Hmm...perhaps they are a bit busy this year with the projects they already have.

Dogakobo is spawning good adaptations lately contrary to their dark dark past. I hope it continues with this one.

That's quite a lot. As for this one, I'll try it out, the previous anime was okay.

Great to see the series back ^_^
I don't know the new characters but I'm liking their seiyuu's so far (Aoi Yuuki, Ai Kayano)

Does anyone know if Shirayuki and Riko make their appereance in the Spin-off?

Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

I would have loved a second season instead, but the PV looks nice. Buuuuut, how come it's not J.C. staff who's gonna animate this? I hope it doesn't feel too weird with the studio change.

One most important thing, Kugyuu will be back as the tsundere queen! I have missed her tsundere role a lot since she has gone and voice other type of characters. <3
Edit: I also prefer Kinji as one of the main characters, I've enjoyed his character and the sexual tension that follows. :p

To say its bad is okay, but to go as far as to say its the worst ever? Man am I jealous of you. You clearly haven't seen many horrendous anime then.

Still I'm surprised, I'm guessing they're going to try to get enough sales with this anime to make a 2nd season of the main series.

Of all the animes that deserve a sequel, THIS is the one they greenlit? First season was absolute garbage. I was hoping it would stay the final season!

Doesn't it say a lot about the industries mindset and just total hands up on the air I don't know what to do attitude that a light novel series nobody I know ever liked including even ardent light novel fans can get a second season seemingly nobody wanted either before anime people actually want to see a sequel of. It's like the industry really does have nothing, like oh we have nothing happening in Fall, well gotta do something, this Light Novel doesn't have a sequel season so lets get on it.

Hidan no Aria...

The one with the Butei school? With an MC who gets power upped when he gets horny?

I thought that series went down the drain after the production team came up with a weird OVA. Like they were saying, "We give up. We want nothing more to do with Aria."

I would've rather had an actual sequel... but I suppose I can settle for a spin-off. At least J.C. isn't here to ruin everything this time.

Pretty cool, but I woulda preferred a sequel than a spin-off. Been ages since I finished watching Hidan no Aria so I barely remember anything... Maybe it's a sign to finally pick up the manga.

Same, though it's not exactly a sequel. But I'm always fine with more Kugyu. It'll be interesting to see what Doga does with it.
