Hmm? Interesting.

Where will this be included, though? On a section of the entry page? Or in its own section of the site?

Good Good

As long as you will offer Dubbed and Uncensored. Don’t pull a Crunchyroll please. Options are best!

Hopefully translation groups on this site in languages other than English will be able to post their subbed versions alongside the English ones.

Very excited about this! Keep up the good work.

MAL pandering to absolute retards as usual. How long until you remove the fansub section and start charging for your shitty streams?

WOW! O______O

But does this mean the "Fansubbing groups" section will no longer be there? I hope this would not happen because that is one of the features I love most on/about MAL tbh. Happy for MAL, but I also hope this partnership won't affect the stuff on the site such as that feature that is...more on the grey area.

He was serious, when he said 2015 would be a big year for MAL!!

This makes sense because streaming anime is always going to exist, might as well accept its existence and that it doesn't hurt the industry, especially outside of Japan. I agree with others that they'd better not remove the fansub area, and also this will be pretty useless if it doesn't become available for a majority of anime eventually, at least airing anime. Other good things would be as people said subs available in several languages, high quality subs (plz!), high quality video and maybe soft subs?

Awesome! I'm excited for this! I'm always happy to have legal options for watching anime open, so this is great! I hope this becomes a positive addition though I'm sure it will be! Good luck with everything!

Curious how this works out, it's not like it's a broad addition to my options because i doubt the few titles i have never been able to find subbed ( complete run of deltora quest, nami (partly because the first XX pages of results on google are about one piece rather then the short film ) and the special old version of TTGLs 6th episode ) but you could say the same for the seasonal anime, the important thing here is that things like anichart and streaming are being implemented onto the same site here so i can do more and more without ever having to go to an external site.

now when is this feature supposed to be avaible for users? it coudn't hurt testing it out with this weeks episode of god eater sunday if it's up and working by then

Also: i really hope this feature gets the advantage over external streaming that it automatically increases the episode count on your anime list after watching next episode ( unless disabled in profile for those strange people that take "being to lazy to maintain watching list" to the point they don't even waqnt it when it's done automatically for them )

It is cool that MAL is expanding. I am curious how they are going to implement this into the site. Also have some doubts as to the benefit for end users. If it is going to link to or embed Daisuki streams then why not just watch it on their site? Especially since they offer more anime then MAL will at first.

I'm going to wait and see what is going to happen before I get too happy about it.

Daisuki is free. Non-members are limited to 480p. Upon registration, which is also free, you can stream it on 1080p.

On MAL will we have access to 1080p or just 480p?

They already said that it will be free. Quality wise it will be 480p for non-members and 1080p for members. And because a subscription won't be necessary it will have ads like any normal site.
