I know most people didn't like him for his business decisions, but it's still sad to see him go this way. Maybe he wasn't good at business, but he was a fun guy. I'll really miss him in the Nintendo Directs. RIP

I was honestly speechless when I saw this on twitter, dude shaped the Nintendo that I grew up with and is probably the reason I'm still a fan of video games today. The video game industry won't be the same without him.

It's just so hard to believe. I looked up to him so much ever since I was a kid. Honestly, he's probably the reason why I love games so much today.
Gonna miss him. His interactions with Reggie and Miyamoto were always so silly, guy always made me smile a bit.

I was never really much of a Nintendo fan despite having owned an SNES. Still, a loss to the gaming community is still a loss. While it seems many Nintendo fans are unhappy with some of his decisions, he did do a lot of good for Nintendo during his time as it's President.

RIP Satoru Iwata.

I'm not really moved about his death itself since I barely knew the guy, but it interests me who is gonna be the face of the company/take the reins now that he's gone and what kind of direction will it take now regarding it's approach to the next generation.

How long does this standstill until they decide a new head of the company usually lasts anyway?

I cried.

A man I never knew. A man I will never know. But a man who has had possibly the biggest impact on my life growing up. Without his games. Without Kirby, Mario, Smash Bros., EarthBound, and so on. I wouldn't be the person I am today. And I like the person I am today. It weighs so heavy that the man who made my childhood, the man who inspired many, the man who cut his own paycheck in dire Nintendo times, the man who always looked for the light, and so on. Has Died. And here I am. Crying for him.

I wish I could've met such a wonderful and awe inspiring man.
