I still watch news, sporting events and the occasional old movie which I can't remember or find online.

Seriously though, there are still some things you can see in normal live-action movies or TV shows that you can't find in anime but I do admit there aren't many things to get excited about lately on the telly.

I don't watch TV any more, except for the news. The Internet indeed has it all, so I fill my evenings with reading manga most of the time or I watch ones in a while some anime.

Nah, hardly ever. I've survived without cable or television shows for the past 5 or so years. If I do end up hearing about a good show, I can just find it on the internet.

I barely watch tv nowadays. Though it's not really because of anime, it's more because of the internet. I've never been of fan of having to watch tv at a certain time every week to watch a show in the first place, so now that you can just use stuff like Netflix (or you just download it) to watch a show whenever you want I rather do that. So I still watch live action series, but I just watch them on the internet. Though I do watch them less now that I'm into anime (there are only 24 hours in a day after all).

Nowadays I only use TV to watch the news and certain sport events, like at the moment I usually have the Tour on. Also I still occasionally watch something on Discovery Channel or Comedy Central when I'm having breakfast or dinner all by myself. Don't really like to watch anime while I'm eating since I can't really focus on a show and eat at the same time, so I only do that when I don't really like the show but still want to finish it.

Nope. Only when The Euros and The World Cup come around, I'd watch TV. Other than that, anime all the way. Anime opened up a whole new world for me, and I ditched all TV shows from the beginning of 2014, so I can have more time to watch more anime. I felt that I had watched all the TV shows I'd ever be interested in, and that it had nothing else interesting enough to offer me.

I mostly watch live action TV, be it on the TV or on demand/online.

I haven't and couldn't replace western TV with anime because most anime is unwatchable garbage and/or is weird.

Mostly news programs and the occasional episode of Breaking Bad, The Simpsons, Futurama or Family Guy whenever they're on.

But I also watch anime on TV. In Australia, Friday has basically become the 'weekly anime night'. On ABC3 from 9pm there's English dubbed episodes of K-ON, Sword Art Online and Madoka one after the other with the only ad breaks being one or two short ads in between each episode.

Then from 11:35pm SBS2 has double episodes of subtitled Attack on Titan. I don't pay much attention when the show comes on since I'm not in the mood to read my anime when I'm half asleep relaxing on the couch in front of the TV at Midnight but Sawano's score and the over the top voice acting make for some sweet background noise while I browse Facebook and Twitter.

I don't tune into Attack on Titan every week though because the slow pacing makes it a frustrating watch in small chunks. Plus weeaboos might be happy that there's a channel which is okay with pandering to them and showing anime in its original Nipponese format but I really wish it were dubbed.

I don't get cable anymore but I do have Netflix and Amazon Prime which I use to mostly was British Mystery Detective Shows. I do keep up with a few other shows, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Adventure time, Once Upon a Time, Venture Bros, and Rick and Morty. I also mean to get around to Steven Universe and Gravity Falls but I haven't found the time recently.

I watch TV for the news generally. Not as much shows on the TV, mainly live-action, that really appeal to my imagination as much, a lot of "realistic" American cop dramas and the like.
I did watch The Walking Dead until that ended...Waiting for next season...

Not a lot of cartoons that I found interesting on TV anymore, maybe Steven Universe, but nothing really captures that sense of satisfaction I get from watching anime, the combination of many genres one can think of and art. Being an artist myself, it really feeds to a certain part of my imagination....

When I was younger, I used to watch TV all the time. Mostly cartoons and sitcoms you'd find on cartoon network, disney XD, disney channel, and nickolodeon. I didn't quit immediately after finding anime or anything, but my interest in TV slowly died off until I never touched it any more and now anime is my main source of entertainment in terms of watching things. Haven't really watched TV in years, honestly.

Yo, I feel you bro. I'm an artist too and I always found anime more creatively stimulating and inspiring than the cartoons on TV. Maybe because it aims for more than just to make you laugh (well most of them anyways). It really has opened my eyes to how animation is a medium with a lot of potential for storytelling, so it's inspired me to want to pursue animation since it'd be a perfect way to combine my interests in art and writing. I don't know if it'd actually work out though since asides from Avatar the Last Airbender/Legend of Korra I haven't seen much of animation being used for mature, linear storytelling that isn't totally geared towards kids over here. -shrug-

I actually haven't seen Steven Universe, though my dashboard on tumblr has been full of it for months since most of the madoka blogs I follow seem to love it to pieces; it looks like a good show. I was also into MLP: FiM for a while, but I didn't watch the episodes on TV :>.

I don't watch a lot of TV. A few shows here and there, but I usually just download stuff that I think I'll like and watch the episodes when I have time.

I do however watch my mom's evening soaps. They're very interesting. I cry every time.
