| I'm loving this again. Getting to see more of Renge's poker face is so refreshing. Renge is still as cute as she use to. So this episode is like before Hotaru enter school which make sense because she just move into town and the other kid go into a new grade and such. Anyway, OP and ED are all good which I like. |

Good to see that the show continues to succeed in the technical department, though. Seriously, Non Non Biyori is one of the best SoL show when it comes to drama. Heck, it's one of the few show that can do the drama right. Other SoL's drama feel really forced or melodramatic The drama in Non Non doesn't feel forced at all, it's simple and subtle, but still can evoke powerful emotion from the viewer. Back to this episode, it's beautiful. Art and sound direction is amazing. 9/10 for this episode |

| How this show melts my cast-iron heart is beyond comprehension. I was surprised that the first ep is a prequel, but realized it right away when Renge announced she is the village's one and only first grader. Non Non Biyori is profound in its simplicity. Don't whine too much about seeing more of Renge's first grade experience, that just means more seasons can be created in the future. I tried watching two other shows this season and could not get into them, but this is just marvelous. |

| I was so hyped up for this and it ended up boring me to sleep. This is an extreme slice of life where literally nothing happens at all. I'm also sad that it's a repeat of the first season so they basically ended up killing the first episode. Edit: I liked the first season because it was actually funny most of the time instead of dramatic life events |

| I was smiling non-stop throughout the entire episode, welcome back Non Non Biyori and especially Ren-chon and her recorder! So this first episode was mainly about Ren-chon becoming a 1st grader and which takes place before season 1's first episode. I was wondering why we never saw Hotaru but looks like she just moved in at the end. No wonder it's called repeat but I guess they are animating parts that were left out from season 1. I'm just glad there's more of this wonderful and fun slice of life. xD The OP by nano.RIPE was great and the ED was really nice too. I can't wait for more! Renge2cute4me/5 |

| The amount of gasping Renge did this episode is sooo cute! (Randsell, commuter pass, recorder). I knew that the cellphone will be left behind. Hahaha. nano.RIPE didn't disappoint. Glad we got to see a bit of Hotaru too. Can't wait to see Dagashiya too. |

| "Miyauchi Renge-dono" *salute* I don't know why but I laughed a lot during that scene XD and then Hikage forgot her cell phone lol... I was confused at first because I thought Renge was already a 1st grader in 1st season. Hopefully this is just a one time thing to shed some background story before Hotaru came. It's a bit odd to have this kind of episode as the first in a season but whatever.. Other than that, it's exactly as it has always been. Cute, relaxing, and heart-warming with a little dose of comedy. Nothing is overdone and nothing is underwhelming. I prefer the 1st season's OP but I like this season's ED more.
