| HAHAHA that was awesome. Nat-chan really beat him to it.. so awkward confession by Ei-chan lol. It was hilarious at the end.. rare to see Nat-chan flustered too. Have a feeling that Ide's match will be epic. He's the kind to hype up the crowd. The best type for a sports anime. |

Next time, I thought she is a too good girl, and I have some trauma about a too good girl ( I read Onani Master Kurosawa ).. You get the real answer in the episode when Takuma chatted her.. but still I did not expect she is so good to the point she said "Who cares said it first, you already cobfessed anyway".. | Y'all think this ship is real with Maruo and Natsu well it's not. The real ship is... I have to say... that Natsu and Maruo confession scene is hands down my favorite anime confession ever. I was squealing like a little girl. The way his reason and instinct harmonized to agree on both sides that now is the time to confess not only is cute but it showed the development tennis has brought Maruo that I've mentioned in past threads. He understands himself now and he's confident. That's amazing to me. The entire awkward but casual scene was perfect for me. "You only said li- but I knew what you meant", completely crushing the confession on last episode cliche, as well as the cliche that everyone misunderstands everyone. Natsu even knew Maruo liked her. Maruo did well against Takuma to the degree that he openly told him that he improved. We've seen Takuma defend Maruo but seeing him not even hesitate to say that shocked me in a good way. I was afraid when Aoi mentioned that Maruo shouldn't forget about his round 1 opponent. To me it sounded like foreshadowing that he would be much better than expected and catch Maruo off guard for an intense round. That scared me but going off the preview it doesn't appear to be going that path. It would be an incredibly important lesson to gain though, it's not Maruo really needs it however and it was touched on in season 1 with Araya beating Maruo by telling himself 'to look at the opponent in front of him'. We're also seeing the struggle of traveling and it's something that haunts everybody who travels for competition. The struggle of balancing your time correctly, getting the right amount of sleep, not being too nervous, and finding time to relax is all too real. |

| One of the best confession scenes I've seen, just for how relaxing and genuine it felt. Didn't need the overdramatic build up, just two people walking around the beach at night and having fun with each other, and Natsu's confession was simple but heartfelt. Hell, she's already one of the smartest heroines in anime just because she was smart enough to get the 'li-' part of what Maruo said before Takuma interrupted the moment, something every other anime heroine would have not heard and focus on the distraction itself. Still, I'm glad to see both of them get together like that. Ever since I rewatched this, I've really gotten attached to both of them as characters, as well as their chemistry together. They've built the chemistry up really well from the beginning of the show till where they are now, making the whole thing strike like gold with me. All of this happened while Maruo and Natsu have to compete the next day in the qualifiers itself, quite the timing alright. Still, fantastic to watch. 10/10 episode and confession as a whole. |
