| It is quite funny to see all these recent changes. MAL used to be a good website before it was sold to some shitty company. After that it started to fall apart with features getting broken/disabled one after another. And now when some work is finally being done, it is done completely wrong. Pretty much expected as they aren't interested in community itself, but in profits it may(or not) bring. But its fine, sooner or later people will move to other websites. Back then, VNDB used to bee too geeky while MAL was more casual. But now there are really some alternatives being made. What bothers me the most is the staff that left from before the site was sold. If I was in place of the (ex)admin and saw this shit happening to my beloved creation, insrtead of pretending that everything is alright I would simply resign and explain to the community that whatever is done is not something I can control. Unless Xinil IS in control of all of this... But that would be super sad, so I don't want to consider such a possibility. |

| Yeah I actually have some good experiences with this feature.. Seeing it gone makes me feel a bit sentimental. Well anyways I don't see why this is removed, if it is for "improvements" then I can't wait to see where this ends up. Again I must highlight the plead that this should come back, even if it takes a long time... lol We need another update to know exactly what's going on in this site. Hopefully nothing gets removed but fucking improved. |

I cleaned out my browser cache on Chrome and also tried to view it on Firefox and there's no longer a "Favorites" tab on any anime character page, what gives? |

| So I was wondering where this feature is for months and stumbled upon this thread. It's already 2016. I hope they will bring this feature back even though it's being developed for improvements. They can make changes once the improvement is done. I think all of us can settle for the old feature until the improved one done. |

| This feature has gone for 1 year now. I am a developer myself and I don't think this feature is that hard to make/improve. Anyway I'm sure the developers are busy for something else but how about considering to bring the old feature of favorites tab back? It's just until the new feature(improved) is done. I use this feature a lot and would be disappointed every time I want to use it because it's already gone. I don't mind what changes or improvements they want to do as long as they didn't get rid of old function to show the members who also favorited. Well, it would be cool if they add like sorting based on name and date. |
| Improvements to the Character (and People) pages are still in the works. We are in the process of finalizing specifications for these pages before handing them off to DeNA for development. The database staff only provide recommendations from a design standpoint and is not involved in the back end development. Ultimately, it is up to DeNA to determine the development schedule and focus. If a desired feature does not match that focus, it may not be deployed. What does this mean? The database staff is well aware of users' wants, and we relay them to DeNA, but we can't make guarantees if or when they will be (re)deployed. |

| There are currently no plans to bring back the feature the way it was before. At one point we can hopefully finally redesign the character pages. Maybe there's a possibility to bring back the feature in another way then, but there are no definite plans yet. |
