Am I the only one looking forward to this much more than Kizumonogatari? Maybe it's because I already know what happens in Kizu since I read the novel, but I'd much rather see what happens next.
"Everyone's carrying something that matters. You just don't realize when you're carrying it. It's only after it slips out of your hand that you realize how heavy it was in the first place. So many times I thought that I'd never carry a load like that ever again. And yet, before I realized it, I was carrying it again. I'd feel so much better if I just got rid of it. But I just can't bring myself to do it." - Sakata Gintoki

Update June 29
Hiroko Kazui's website has been updated to remove her work on Owarimonogatari.
So...is this a fake? Or are they still going ahead?

I had a feeling they would announce more Monogatari since Nisekoi ended and they don't have anything else lined up yet.
So glad to hear this!

Usually when something gets removed like that, it's a confirmation.

Unless they got out of their way to explicitly say otherwise, silence generally means that it's true

I'm assuming the adaptation won't be out anytime soon, but there will still be one eventually as SHAFT already announced that they'll adapt all of Monogatari.

YES, good news.
I´m currently watching "Monogatari Series: Second Season" and I´m platinum happy about this announcement.
Leaving Kizu aside, because the adaption is already in "progression", there are -besides Owarimonogatari- still Koyomimonogatari and Zokuowarimonogatari left.
Koyomimonogatari is just a short story collection, so I´m leaving this out, but I wondered if this adaption includes Zokuowarimongoatari to conclude the story or if this will maybe get another series later on. So I did some math.
According to how much pages made 1 episode averagely, Koyomimonogatari would be 7 episodes (6 is more realistic imo to get 2 short stories per episode), Owarimonogatari (all 3 novels) would be 18 episodes and Zokuowarimonogatari would be 5 episodes.
So if they`re not aiming for a strange count of episodes, like in Bakemonogatari, I hope to get both Owarimonogatari and Zokuowarimonogatari in one full 24 episode season. (And another season for Koyomimonogatari would be cool too)

I hope they just burn her on threw to the ending, since the last volume is called Zoku-Owarimonogatari. Probably be a two cour for the finale.

Couldn't be more excited for this. Hope they air Kizu before Koyomi & Zoku, but at this point I doubt it.

Hey guys,
I'm a bit curious about the length of this series and hoping some of you may be able to answer it. Basically why has this series had so many anime adaptations? I am not saying this series is bad at all. But what I am saying is (I am sure we can all agree), many times good works have been adapted into an anime however rarely do they get a second season. Meanwhile this particular series has had upwards of four full length adaptations. Why is this (popularity, proper finances etc...)?

1-Because it sells a lot while other anime don't.
2-Because there is material left to adapt.

Nice. I hope this will be a full TV series given the length although I'm not sure since I haven't read the material myself yet. Interested in it though.

yeah..a tv series and not just a movie is really more interesting

They still have to make Owarimonogatari s2, Zoku (4 ep special?) and Off Season but Shaft is busy with Kizumonogatari movie 3 and 3gatsu no Lion so I'm not expecting more Monogatari TV series until at least spring 2017, maybe later.

Oh and I neglected to mention Kubikiri Cycle as well which has now delayed volumes 3-8... so Shaft really doesn't have any free time for Monogatari right now, is already behind schedule with three projects ongoing.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Not to completely spoil but
...are 3 of my favorite arcs in the whole series. Some great stuff to come in Off Season as well! I really hope Aniplex and Kodansha keep their promise to animate the whole thing.

And we aren't getting the (final?) novel Musubimonogatari in 2016 after all. January 12th it comes out.
