| The manga was nice as well, I don't see why people would hate it. It was a relaxing show to watch, no heavy drama, great ost, and va's. Also a big fan of hotarubi no mori e, which has the same author. |

| There are haters for literally every show, don't know why your focusing on one this one group of people. I personally enjoy the show a lot, but Mushishi improves on it in almost every way. |

The arcs were really hit or miss for me, but the episodic ones were pretty good. Season 2 is my favorite as well, surprised most people like the first season more lmao Dat episode with the one ghost thingy in the tree from when he was a kid, I crie evrytiem. But really I should rewatch the whole thing, I don't remember much about the show just that season 2 was my favorite. |

Normally I score higher than the rating itself. |

| Speaking of this series being hated on, literally every episode discussion of every season, including the movie, has gotten around 26-28 1/5 downvotes. Now every episode poll has a huge chunk of 1/5s that looks quite unnatural. What shocks me more is that not only would they downvote episode discussions (like seriously, what does that benefit), but it's Natsume of all things. Like, who would hate this series so much that they'd dedicate days making alt accounts and downvoting every individual episode. Neither is series ridiculously highly-rated, nor it is immensely popular. And its fanbase is pretty small and quiet too, so this is kinda bewildering :P |

| This show is pretty far from perfect lol. The only reason its score is so high is because for the most part the only people who knew this show existed and bothered to watch it are the kind of people who love this sort of show anyway; resulting in its score being grossly inflated. If a wider more mainstream audience bothered to watch this its score would have dropped like a rock. Now if you're a fan of the Iyashikei and Yokai genres hey I'm sure it's a masterpiece. However most people are not, so for your average person with an actual brain that needs actual stimulation not "cozy" bullshit where nothing happens; this show is mind numbingly boring (outside a few good stories in it). Everything I just said applies to Mushishi as well which I'm sure everybody here loves too. |
