Hello fellow club members and anyone else who sees this thread.

Recently, I had an idea for an alternate ending for the Ahorn der Flamme route in fortissimo EXS. Seeing as how people didn't really like the fact that Loki had such a small role, as well as him deus ex machina-ing pretty much Sayuki and Momiji's routes, I decided to give him a more meaningful role. However, there will be minor to major changes to the plot.

A few points of history that I need to point out:

- Loki is actually Reiji from Ein Kirschenbaum (aka Sakura's Route), where he was the only surviving Mahoutsukai after winning Ragnarok. Everything until both him and Sakura cast fortissimo is the same. In my version, a 'mysterious man' stabs Sakura in the back just before both her and Reiji use fortissimo, causing her to disappear. The man has white hair and glasses, and wears a white and black military uniform. He wields dual-wielding blades. Reiji tries to fight him out of anger, but Sakura's last words were to run away.
- After getting away from him, Reiji is in despair as he was holding onto a red scarf. He grieves for Sakura and thinks back to who that person was. Now at this point, I should probably mention that Ichigo told Reiji what Voluspa's symbol was during her infodump session with Reiji. So, Reiji remembers that and realizes that Voluspa was behind Sakura's murder.
- Assuming that there were many Mahoutsukai left in the world (as we were never really given a clear number of them), we jump to a timeskip. Both the remnants of Voluspa and the rogue Mahoutsukai wage war against each other, leading to massive destruction and bloodshed. During this time, Reiji was in hiding while witnessing bits of the war. In the end, both sides suffered many casualties and eventually the war died down. Reiji stood in the middle of the fires of destruction, similar to Sousei at the end of the Fimbulwinter War and realizes that he must stop this from happening. Renaming himself as Loki, he gains the ability to travel through the nine dimensions as the Ultimate Mahoutsukai, Gaia:Uranus.
- Loki goes back to the Sakura tree one last time and prays for Sakura, his lover and partner who been with him since the he was born. Reminiscing his past memories of his time with his friends, he casts Dimension Zero, the dimension wormhole that is able to create a pathway to the world where he wants to go. Loki decided that his goal was to save all of the thirteen Mahoutsukai who had participated in Ragnarok and bring them to a new world. Then, when the time to fight Voluspa comes, they will be able to go against them and stop the war of all wars.
- At the time of Ahorn der Flamme, Loki has brought 12/13 of the Mahoutsukai into his desired world, which he names Asgard. The only person left was Satomura Momiji.

A few things you need to take into account:

- Reiji will be seen using his left hand more than his right to cast Fenriswolf
- At this point, I'm still unsure whether I should have Reiji use Jarngreipr in this fight
- Loki is able to go into Dimension Zero because of Sakura's scarf, which gives him the ability to. Remember that one of Sakura's runes was Dimension Mirage where she able to jump into the another dimension (in my version, it was a dimension wormhole) for a short period of time. Loki however is able to stay in the wormhole for as long as he wants since he has surpassed space and time as Gaia:Uranus.
- Ryuichi may or may not be able to use Second Access at this point. I'm still deciding whether he should or not. After thinking about it, I decided to create a new type of access called Dual Access
- Momiji loses her magic and becomes a normal human again in this ending
- Gleipnir might make its return in this ending
- Nagisa will appear as a voice in Ryuichi's subconsciousness due to their deep bond in this route and guides him in defeating Momiji
- Two new versions of Da Capo: Da Capo Replication: Zero Order and Da Capo Recollection
- Two new versions of Fenriswolf will be introduced in this ending. Loki has a totally new rune, which he combines with Da Capo Zero, allowing him to reduce an enemy's attack to nothing once it touches it and then the wolf spear will have a 100% chance of directly hitting the enemy. Reiji will learn Seiken Fenriswolf, which is a variation of Fenris Laevateinn in this ending. A new rune which Reiji shapes Sakura's Laevateinn into a blade and incorporates it into his Fenriswolf. When he launches it, nothing could destroy or erase the blade of eternity, even if Fenriswolf itself is negated.
- Loki notes that Reiji has died in all the other worlds except for Ein Kirschembaum World, Ahorn der Flamme World, and Asgard.
- As you can see from the previous points that I actually changed the entire ending of Ein Kirschenbaum, as well as using some elements from Kadenz fermata.
- Kuri is confirmed to make a small cameo appearance in the epilogue of this ending

The setting of this ending will take place in two places. The first two stages is at the same place where Momiji fought Jin and Schwarzritter. The final stage is in Dimension Zero itself. For Dimension Zero, I decided to use Sakura's Dimension Mirage to represent it since it looked like what I would imagine Dimension Zero to be.

Timeline to this ending:

Ein Kirschenbaum (bad end; refer to historical points above) -> Schnee Kristall (Loki has already been to this world) -> All the other worlds he went to to gather the other magi -> Ahorn der Flamme -> Ein Re-Encounter (Remake of original to fit this ending)

Synopsis:

The alternate ending begins directly before Momiji gives her answer to Loki. Reiji, who regained consciousness, arrives to where Momiji and Loki were with Sakura and Ryuichi. When Reiji calls out Momiji's name, she hesitates to take her last step. Loki disappointingly tells her that her resolve to go with him was weak. The three outsiders face off with Loki, but not before Loki uses Da Capo Curtaincall to summon Gjallarhorn and uses Arcadia Jinx to order Momiji to attack Sakura and Ryuichi. Against her will, Momiji sides with Loki and begins to attack her targets, while Loki deals with Reiji. The final struggle between the survivors of Ragnarok and the Ultimate Magi, Gaia:Uranus, begin.

Characters:

Yoshino Reiji

A war orphan who lost both his parents in the "Ten Year War" that occurred in Tsukiyomi-jima Island sixteen years ago. He is your “average” teenager with an unfortunate past. A level-headed free thinker who deeply cares for those close to him and is easily agitated should they come in harm's way. One of his trademark traits is him fiddling with his hair whenever he is thinking. In this world, he was one of the survivors of Ragnarok along with his friends Momiji and Ryuichi.

Sakura

Summoned by Reiji, Sakura is a "Strategic Destruction Magic Weapon" that uses sunlight-fueled attacks. Sakura is a spirit that takes form of a human girl that is good at both attack and defense by converting sunlight into magic. Although she is a spirit, Sakura is able to fight in battles using her human body to use powerful magic attacks. In addition, because she is an autonomous weapon, Sakura is able to fight independently in battles without her user, Reiji. Her last resort mythical magic shines more dazzling than the sun itself, however, its destructive powers is enough to destroy the world. Therefore, she keeps this power hidden.

Satomura Momiji

A mischievous, confident, and bold classmate who has hit on Reiji due to “love at first sight”. Kind to her friends and cold to everyone else, she is a realist and knows what is most important to her. Having no real battle experience against other mahoutsukai, Momiji is able to adapt to the situation. With the ability to disrupt her opponent's strategies, Momiji's battle style is very similar to Reiji where she changes her attack styles based on the situation to make up for her lack of battle experience. Her abilities reflect her own character, and her versatility in battle allows her to create various strategies. In this world, she was the victor of Ragnarok, having defeated Arizuka Jin with Loki's assistance.

Sumeragi Ryuichi

An orphan who shares a friendly rivalry with Reiji dating back to their time in the same orphanage. He has witnessed incessant war and suffering during travels with his foster father and now bears a deep hatred for "evil". In battle, Ryuichi is able to integrate lightning magic into his martial arts techniques. Among the "Mahoutsukai" residing in Tsukiyomi-jima Island, Ryuichi's ability is one of the top tier ones. Alongside with Reiji, the two of them defeated Odin with their combined powers, and managed to survive Ragnarok.

Loki

A man who was once known as "Yoshino Reiji". However, he has long since threw away that name and is now referred to as once of the gods of Norse Mythology, Loki. Having survived and suffered through Ragnarok and the great war after it, Loki knows the pain of loss more than anyone else. Being the last one standing in the aftermath, he steeled his resolve and has begun his journey to create a more peaceful and happier world. But, he has a hidden motive that he has never shared with the people he has 'saved'. With the late Sakura's magic, he has become the Ultimate Mage who has transcended through Space and Time. The mage in the Gaia:Uranus class.

Status so far:

Sprites: ~80% done (Still need for Kadenz fermata's PC release to complete the rest of Reiji and Loki's sprites) -> Probably not going to use sprites since I changed my original plan.
Script: 100%
Background: 100% -> Same as sprites
CG: ~50% (Still need to edit/draw some)
Sound: Uh...
BGM: Uh...
Special Effects: ???
Voices: no voices unfortunately
Release Date: TBA (Maybe in 2017-2018 since this is a one-man project so far.)

Wow, looks interesting. It will definitely be hard, unfortunately I don't really have experience or knowledge with hacking, so I won't be able to help. If there is anything else I'll try to help out where I can.

Thanks Rizor. I'll probably use the Ren'py engine to make this. If it's possible, I might have you help me edit the raw script on a Word document to see if everything flows well, as well as if I described some of the runes correctly. And I might have slightly changed the characters' personality as well. Not sure if you're good with Photoshop, but if you are, you could help me with a few images.

I still need to wait for Kadenz PC's release so I could get Reiji's close-up view sprite too cuz I might need that.

Wow, nearly two years since I announced this little project of mine. After taking an extremely long hiatus and getting myself reorganized after some real life problems, I'm finally back to working on this again.

The script unfortunately had to be redone due to me losing my progress which was one of the main reasons why I took this long break. Luckily enough, the new script is probably way better than what I had written out before. It's also more organized to the point where I can picture all the events before I even start penning them down.

With my life taking a busy turn, I had to change the format of this entire thing. Previously I wanted to do a VN-style format, but with this being a solo project and me never really taking any programming classes, I decided to just do a visual-light novel combo where there will be CGs here and there with the majority of the thing being text. In short, it will just be a visual novel on paper rather than a game.

As for how the relative plot changes with the script...nothing really. The fights stayed the same overall. The character personalities will be a little different from their canon counterparts however because I found it easier to work with these new personalities. Of course the changes won't be drastic to the point where you don't recognize the characters at all. XD

Anywho, as of now, I am around 65% done with the script in 3-4 days. This is the first draft, so it will be imperfect and going through many revisions. If you guys want a general estimate of how long this alternate ending actually is, 14 475 words in 54 MS Word pages is already 50% of the ending. So, it's pretty damn long (probably longer than some of the final battles in the actual route itself lol). The story is divided into four sections: "Short" prologue, 1st fight, 2nd fight, epilogue. Done the prologue and nearly finished the 1st fight.

Finally done the script! It took way longer than I expected due to me wanting to fit in as much "detail" as possible to end things perfectly.

The final product of the first draft is 155 Microsoft Word pages with over 43 000 words. O_O

So where do I go from here. I'll be honest, my writing skills are not top-notch so I might need some peer editing for anyone who wants to volunteer. To test this, I'll be posting the first four scenes (or what I call the "Prelude" to all things) in public and putting the link here to get people familiarized with my "writing style" and the plot itself. While these scenes are quite short, I can assure you things get more hectic after the intro.

Now remember, I require constructive criticism and NOT flaming or additional plot additions or insults. Keep things here as clean as possible and we'll all have a good time. :D
