Nisekoi: Episode 8 Discussion

This season isn't as good as the first one, seems like much will be rushed since we only get 12 episodes.

Doctor Maiko best character confirmed

Was expecting the magical girl spinoff to last the entire ep. Glad that it didn't though, got to see more of Haru's flags being raised.

All that fanservice... the only way to defeat Docturr Maiko. Greatest reason for world domination right there.

I don't know why everyone is hating on the first half, I liked it.

It had some lewd moments with the 3 of them. Onodera's first scene. Marika was just totally shameless, and Chitoge getting hit by the ray gun.

I thought Suu was fucking fantastic too. I was dying. We haven't had a good Shuu moment in a while.

Second half was ok. Just Haru being annoying as usual. Momma Onodera causing trouble was funny though.

Wish they didn't waste 13 mins of the ep.. with only 12 eps this season.

As for the second half, it was awesome. More Haru!

I got bored with the first half, but I like the second half.

You really can't. Tsumugi was best girl for the entire first section. Still, the Magical Patisser Kosaki really didn't live up to the hype. It wasn't all that interesting, and yet it took up almost 70% of the episode....

The last part with Haru was alright. It was more story-buildup than anything. Onodera's mom is always fun to watch.

I felt like I was on drugs for the first half since I didn't know that was to be a thing. The second half had Onodera's mom (always great) but was pretty ruined by the presence of Haru. I tried, guys, but I don't know why you like her so much.

This was a great episode! Loved the magical girl part the most of course. Great fun, especially seeing Onodera. Though they adapting the chapters oddly, since last week's ending and this week's episode don't make sense. :|

I THINK......I think the reason why SHAFT added magical Kosaki spin-off is that, without adding it, the Haru arc will end at the midway of episode 11.

I didn’t like how they mixed the spin-off with the original into one episode. The whole episode felt weird because of that. I hope this a one-time deal. With only 4 episodes left, well it has to be.

Magical Girl episodes should keep it to themselves at least. Or have it be an OVA, which will pretty much suit it.
Anyway, the second half was fine. Haru and Ichijou had some "quality" time together. Kosaki and Haru's mother sure is something else.

Last week I thought it was weird enough for yet another new girl to be introduced, but hey she's pretty cool. I guess next week's episode is going to be pretty funny with her around.

Then, we only get 10 minutes of Haru. But only after having 14 minutes of my day pretty much wasted. I don't know what they were thinking when they decided to do this. It's obvious that the plot won't go anywhere anytime soon - that is to say, if we actually get a third season and we do get to see a proper wrap up. But it's funny, so it's still pretty good. However, there was no need for them to go out of their way just to make the plot even more nonsensical with this kind of unfunny filler. This isn't even worth an OVA imo, let alone more than half a regular episode.

I hope we don't see any more of this mahou shoujo stuff next week, unless it's really funny. But I'd much rather see a regular episode.

The second season seems to have no direction. Other than the addition of Haru there just isn't much of a plot. The Madoka takeoff wasn't that funny. It's like they are just adding filler waiting for the season to end. I hope they at least resolve the mystery of the locket by the end of this season because I think this is about it for Nisekoi. Too bad because I really liked the first season.

Not for this episode. Doesn't deserve it.

I've skipped more than half. That's not a filler, it's simple garbage.
Reminds a bit of the 'ostrich ninja', in Naruto. And this 'Nisekoi: 08' might be worse (never thought it was even possible).

A try to gain time in an episode means lack of story, and of imagination if you put magical girls with some pathetic reason for it.

I'm disappointed at Nisekoi, which fell deeply in my conceit, and also in humanity, for having more than 75% of the votes over [3/5] in this forum. They are to blame for this pathetic excuse for an episode.

Jesus motherfuckin lord almighty Christ. I hope Haru turns around soon; I don't find her character to be fun to watch at all. What a waste of kawaii.

Episode fun, enjoyable part of the first and the last, a bit less than the middle part a little dull. Narrative that does not lose the enamel in the transition between the usual story SOL and one dedicated to Kosaki and his work as a magician. Drawings quite good as quality.

It's gonna take a long time.... she's gonna keep hating on Raku for at least another 30 chapters and that's because of the fillers happening in the manga.

And season two probably ends with Shuu's arc, so probably season 3, damn I want to see the festival firework arc with Haru animated :(

I didn't like the manga version of this, It was decent. Hoping for some original nisekoi next week.

So they used the omake version instead of the spinoff manga.

It stopped being enjoyable at this epsiode. I was fine with the valetine epsiode, and i thought things would get back to normal . Then this episode.... the worstAnd to top it off, i was reccomended to watch this only to find after 2 bad episodes pending, that Nisekoi: is the second season and i've missed out on a whole season.

It would explain a couple things . . .RIP

2nd half was glorious, just what I expect when I'm watching Nisekoi. 1st half tho.... ehh, I guess it was amusing.

This was probably my least favorite episode of the season. Not saying this episode was bad, but every other episode was just.. so good.

2nd half with Haru was hilarious! I'm guessing none of this episode was canon?

We got four episodes left.. Give us more Onodera x Raku! I know there isn't going to be a conclusion, but still this second season has been a lot of fun. Really like this show.

SHAFT, pls! That mahou shoujo Onodera, including OP and following scene was just brilliant! :D

And they toned down Haru's voice in the second part, she is much more pleasant to listen now which is good. Sadly, Kosaki will be siderailed by Haru for some time now.

Turning Nisekoi into a magical girl parody was great, magical girl Kosaki! Magical Styling is a really cute song.
I would enjoy it if they had more random episodes like this.

Second half was typical Nisekoi, I was happy that it was focused on the Onodera sisters again.

Wow. That was a complete waste of an episode, and considering it was an episode of an anime where nothing ever happens that's saying something. I really enjoyed the first season, despite nothing ever progressing. And I enjoyed the episodes of this season with Chitoge's mom, and I especially enjoyed Paula's game with Tsugumi and Raku, but everything else has been garbage. I'll watch it because it's only 12 episodes, and I don't want to drop it after coming this far, but this is really disappointing.

Kosaki is like Madoka ref, while Chitoge would be Magical Gorilla Chitoge (very hilarious) and Tachibana would be Magical Police Marika.
Ruri = Rurin did an epic upskirt pantsu flash to Onodera!

2nd part was more focus again with Haru. Thou...she didn't believe Ichijou about the one who saved her from the thugs last episode. Haru insist that she remembered that it was a 180 cm tall prince...haha, nothing Raku could do to a girl that doesn't believe from a mans words. Unless we get to Raku's Locket Shape Pendant Chain Necklace.

Having a spin-off play during half of the episode is just plain wrong, even for a so-called fillers series. If they want to keep with the fillers, keep using the ones from the main series instead. There are things called OVAs for spin-offs like this.

Anyhow, that’s one of the main reasons people are mad about this episode. There’s also the fact that, except Haru’s introduction, pretty much nothing worthwhile has happened during this season whatsoever (a season, which it’s soon coming to an end). Yes, season 1 didn’t do too much either, but at least things moved and felt somewhat better.

I’ll bet that this season will end up in the most uneventful way possible. And no, I don’t think there will be a 3rd season after this one is over. To tell you the truth, we were lucky that they even announced a second season for this.

If you are looking for plot development you are in the wrong place :/
