Shinigami was kind of like a cartoon villain, even though his impact on the season was pretty strong regardless.

Oh yeah, they are very much capable of fighting titans, more than that. :)
Anyways, can't judge anything too harshly here, though I'm still not convinced about how good a character Jotaro is.

Both the characters I know are absolute shit. Especially Souji, whose characterization blatantly reflects the countless contradictions, contrivances & holes in the show. It's as if the show can't really decide where to be a parody or to be serious like a battle shounen when despite his obsession being with something very trivial & ornamental stuff like Twintains, something which can't be taken seriously & can only make sense if portrayed in a humourous/comedic light & yet, the show portrays him being passionate like shounen MC regarding his obsession over something as trivial as twintails, even giving passionate speeches affirming that, which looks horribly & ridiculously out of place. The mess with his characterization just goes onto reflect the royal mess Ore Twintail actually is.

The socially retarded mad scientist who doesn't even know how to properly behave/interact with girls isn't a good enough character to have in favourites IMO

jesus fucking christ i know you wanna keep the thread going or whatever but you're just posting the exact same thing under the exact same poster like you did with me in this & some other thread, like you can atleast rate galactic along with hokuto or just pick another character from hokuto, its getting kind of annoying since everyone already rated your characters & you're just cloggin the thread, just saying
edit:
uhh @345EdwardElric you know i don't add anime that i haven't rewatched in atleast 2 years, right? iv'e only just added it to my bio though so i don't blame ya, so you can't just judge my 'experience' or whatever based solely off my profile since its not crammed with every show iv'e watched + i don't even take it that seriously, this talk about 'vast experience' kinda came out of nowhere since anime isn't the only medium out there that i and other people consume, and knowledge about tropes/characters isn't exclusive to it either, @crescensXG gave 5 examples in this thread in which you posted the same thing about shinji under me without paying attention to my other favorite characters, just saying -p-
Yeah we already went through regarding this before but I'll say it again:
The problem only arises if one keeps posting between each & every post, in that case the other users don't get much option to play with since they barely get an option to pick from others, but if someone is waiting multiple posts in between (like 4-5 posts) before posting again, then there shouldn't be much of a problem since the other users get a chance to play & pick from others in that case. It's simple as that.
Also Hotuko_no_Lied has also posted several times (quite more than me actually) in this page so why are you only after me? Talk about singling someone out when others are also doing the same. And then again, this is basically the 1st or 2nd time I've posted after him judging his characters so I don't really know what exactly you mean by posting the same thing over & over again.
Complaining to me when it's pretty clear that your complaints have very little factual basis in the first place isn't a good look, bruh. It just looks silly if you ask me.

You could just read or watch some more stuff and then participate again; not just in this thread, everywhere. Like you've written in your profile:
OT
You are not "well-versed or vastly experienced" - and it often shows when it comes to picking characters (or shows). Most of the time they are from similar shows, running in similar magazines aimed at a certain audience. No biggie, but you only limit yourself when they're often the only ones you know from first-hand experience, and not just hearsay/clips.
You mentioned Joe recently. Watch the anime, or better, read the manga. I bet you'll love him. One of the most inspiring and iconic characters ever, on an unforgettable journey in this medium. So good that even Gurren Lagann payed him a shameless homage. Pretty insulting comparing the quality of both if you ask me. -g-
I, like so often, was merely suggesting that you "broaden your horizon" to make it a bit more pleasant and interesting. "Repitition" is one of the first things that come to mind.
Please~! Stop it. Am I reading a visual novel or light novel? So much redundancy in text. You sure know well enough that I'm mainly talking about diversity. I pointed that out multiple times in this forum. And even if you completed all anime on your Plan-to-watch list, it wouldn't change much since the majority are pretty basic.
It's often so obvious that you lack in that department, (which is by the way totally fine), but you could at least restrain yourself a bit more when all you pick are the same shows/characters continuously. Like you did with me during the time I had Holo. You were picking her without knowing the nine others on my list. Or Cowboy Bebop on several occasions. That's lame and selfish (cheaply cutting in line to get some kind of "satisfaction" - dunno how to exactly explain that behavior...). So why not let others, who can contribute more, step in? It's just a little game, no need to spoil it for some people.
Buy stuff, or buy at least your favorites if you can afford it - Don't be lame.
D W-W&N 🤍
MAL is a far cry from being my main literature site, that's why I won't be doing mere single chapter updates anymore. Manga- aka Baka-Updates + 2 French ones are miles better and more thorough/complete + less restricting. The latter are perfectly suited for Manga/Light Novel/Books collectors such as myself. Less stressful/tiring this way. -g-
Your logic of "not being very well versed" doesn't really hold much water here when the user @uninventive who was complaining to me is less versed/experienced compared to me & have watched lesser anime than me in the first place. Nice try in supporting her "factually hollow" complaints, but no dice I'm afraid.
There are many people here who play these games pretty often: some of them are vastly experienced & well-versed, some of them are moderately well-versed like me, it's simple as that. You can't expect everyone who plays in these games to be vastly experienced when it comes to anime/manga. There obviously isn't any written rule anywhere here as for that only people very well-versed in anime can play these games, it's open for everyone here. These games and meant to be player for fun & enjoyment, they are no serious stuff like exams or anything like that for which vast knowledge is mandatory (once again it goes to show that for someone who tells others not to take this trivial games seriously, you yourself do take this games very seriously indeed, like some exam for which vast knowledge is supposed to be mandatory).
But then again, I'm no noob in anime either as well, like someone who has just started watching anime or an inexperienced anime watcher who just watched a few mainstream shows. I've still watched a good bit of anime from several genres & got a decent amount of experience as of now. It's just that I'm not a vastly experienced anime watcher yet. And that's shouldn't be a big deal when it comes to playing these games, or should it?

Uhm, I for now can figure it out pretty well that you barely even remember a thing or two about the anime you haven't watched on your list, so whatever you have watched amongst them is pointless when in comes to talking about experience. Proof: you claimed that you watched anime like Code Geass & AoT a long time ago, & yet you never even rated any of the Code Geass or AoT characters I had in my (constantly changing) favourites even freaking once in the "Rate The Favourite Characters Of The User Above You" Thread. Like the last tine you rated my characters in that thread, did you rate Lelouch, Eren or Mikasa? When you can't even remember major characters of those shows enough to even freaking rate them....then clearly that paints a picture of how much you actually even remember about those shows in the first place. So how much value does you experience of watching them have....when you can't even remember well enough some of the major/main characters of the show? If we are counting all that then bad news for you, I also haven't added exactly all the anime I've watched in my list as well, like the several ones I've watched more than 10 years ago. I mean I've actually watched several episodes of One Piece, Bleach, Detective Conan, Bakugan Battle Brawlers back them but I haven't added them cuz I don't really remember much about them or exactly how many episodes I actually watched of them. Counting all that, my overall episode count would like go above 7000 or above, bad news for ya. It's was a bad idea for you assume that I've added all the anime I've watched in my list. ;)
You do realize that it's @crescensXG who brought up this whole thing about experience & stuff, right? He is the one who keeps saying that we all should gain a vast amount of knowledge to give ourselves bigger options as so on. I never do think it that vast experience in anime should be neccesary or mandatory when it comes to playing these games....after all these games are meant to be played for fun & enjoyment, they aren't any serious exams or something like that for which knowledge/experience is neccesary to pass. These games are obviously open to everyone around here, many users overall play these games, some of who are vastly experienced in anime, some of who are moderately experienced & some of who are less experienced/inexperienced, after all we can't obviously expect everyone here who plays in this section to be supremely well versed/experienced in anime/manga. Knowledge shouldn't really be that big of a factor or conpulsory when it comes to participation in these games which ate primarily meant to be for fun, but well.....it was crescensXG who brought up this whole thing regarding experience in anime as if like it was a necessity or something like that for playing hmin this section, when that's obviously not the case.
Regarding the last point, yeah but those 5 times are from instances including different threads, not only a very single thread, mind you. And you can't really blame me for that: it's my fault that you constantly have one of my most hated characters in anime ever in my favourites. Shinji is a character whom I despise to an enormous degree, he is one of those characters I find to be infuriatingly bad in terms of characterization, the hate I feel towards his character is simply put, enormous. So it's basically impossible for me to harshly judge any other character in your favourites as long as you have Shinji Ikari in your favourite characters. The entire point of those threads where I talked negatively about Shinji were basically to say something negative regarding the above user's favourite characters, either picking our most disliked character from there or to "harshly judge" them like this thread and that's what I exactly did there. In case you do really want for me to judge some of the other characters in your favourites harshly, then you'll have to remove Shinji from your favourites temporarily or so I'm afraid (since Shinji is a character I dislike too much to "harshly judge" anyone else in your favourites as long as he's there, since in that case he's clearly the character in your favourites I dislike the most. You are not really giving me much of an other option to choose from as long as you have him favourites. I for someone have been swapping the set of characters in my favourites pretty often lately (from my top 10 characters, to my top 11-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, etc) for the sake of making the forum games I play more interesting & giving the other users more options to choose from BTW so you can also also consider doing the same too. But you've always had a few common characters in your favourites, namely Misato, Shinji & Envy. It's obviously fine if you choose to always have those characters in favourites, that's totally your choice, but in that case please don't complain about me saying the same thing regarding him repeatedly. Since Shinji is one of my most hated characters ever in anime, he's obviously my first pick to "harshly judge" amongst your favourites; if you swap him temporarily with some other character or so, surely I will then focus on someone else.
Anyways, I still don't see how any of your complaints that you made in your post hold much of a ground since you claimed that I was clogging the thread even though I was waiting 4-5 posts at least most of the times between posting & there was another user (Hotuko_no_Lied) who actually posted far more time in this page compared to me, hence you clearly were unfairly singling me out; plus your claim that other users are tired of rating my characters were baseless too since I have been swapping the set of characters in my favourites very often lately so that shouldn't obviously be the case.

Most of the ones I know there are pretty great but I'm not really convinced about Joseph

If you gonna have a HxH character in your favourites, at least have one of the best characters from the show, Kite is a good character but nowhere even close to the being one of the best characters in the show who are far better than him.

C'mon fam, Ed is way too set about his ideal of equivalent exchange or not killing anyone to the point of ridiculousness (I like him, but hey, this thread is supposed to be harsh, lol)
There are better characters than Asuka to put in favourites, she isn't anything that special

Rintaro Okabe is an annoying, socially retarted harem king, who despite being surrounded and fawned upon by several pretty girls, doesn't even know how to properly interact with them. Not a good enough character to put in favourites IMO.

At least best girl tohsaka is included
