| Decided to publish my current build of MALU3. Haven't been able to work much on it the last few months, and I could use ideas for features, UI etc, so post here. Download: http://www.malupdater.com/mal-updater-3-pre-alpha/ Most stuff isn't working however. Settings are not saved, so you must enter your login each time you restart it. Most Anime list features do work, like offline and online updates, offline syncing, refresh data. Title recognition does NOT work. Multiple selection updates work. Custom lists work. Filters work. Search works. Anime DB browsing works. Hummingbird does not work. Manga does not work. Airing schedules work~. Missing titles work. No torrents. MAL login is not necessary, if MAL is down you can still update stuff in offline mode and sync later. Share your thoughts/bugs etc. |

| Thanks, it works. A couple of things I've noticed: - MAL Updater 3 crashes on Windows 8 ("MAL Updater 3 stopped responding and needs to be closed"), when you want to add a custom folder in the settings. Windows XP or Windows 7 compatibility mode and/or disabling anti-virus doesn't help - the option to login is a bit hidden imho and you need to click on Refresh/Sync - "Play Current Episode" is missing - Play Previous/Next Episode or Episode# doesn't seem to work, even when manually adding the exact folder with the files (Mediaplayer Classic, already checked in the Settings) - why does every single tool have to have auto run automatically checked D: edit: - one good thing is, that MAL Updater 3 doesn't support the new modern trend to illiteracy and writes functions out. Big thank you for that |

I haven't used it much since I couldn't get it to update anything so that's just what I noticed prodding around for a few minutes. Picture browser mode is super duper cool btw. |

| Not sure if it helps, but what already works, works fine even on Windows Server 2012R2. Also I like the interface a lot more than the old one :V Hummingbird support is nice too. Now I'll go back in the shadows to wait for updates.... Lurk~ Lurk~ |

| - Found a bug, I think. I did an online search in the missing tab then switched to current and removed the search, and the anime that was highlighted green showed up in the other tabs. Not added though. - Some producers aren't shown in the producers column. (Is it supposed to be studios? Some of those are missing too.) - In the picture browser, I would want to resize the rows a bit since there's some unused space, and the columns, since the text is a pain to read when it's condensed into a thin column. - Ignore dropped anime in missing related anime button - Maybe a window for showing my profile, and editing. (graphs like when we had MALgraph) Working good on windows 10240. IMO needs more colors, the black w/ white reflection bar at the top is outdated, (early ios was based on that reflective style), a solid black or very dark blue would work. But keep up the good work. I'm eager to see the full release. |
