It's not suitable for the character. I don't know why.

They have limited number of VAs maybe?
Some people enjoy dubs too.
I personally enjoy eng dubs of my childhood anime like Pokemon and Digimon.

You're just making stupid points. How do Japanese voice have a "unique way to talk" and yet English voice actors don't?

It's more noticeable with the female English VAs. Their voices sound very annoying to me.

Sometimes, but they're mostly decent these days. I particularly like Colleen Clinkenbeard and Steven Blum. I do prefer subs overall though, with certain exceptions.

No. I give credits to the well-performed anime. Watch Baccano.

Baccano was the first one I liked. Cowboy Bebop is generally well-liked. I remember the Darker than Black one being okay. Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt is great. Space Dandy is good.

It's not that their voices are awful, it's just...somehow it doesn't really fit. I never watch dubbed anime, because it just seems fake in some way.

Only when they're bad. 99% of the time I stick to Japanese but Vic Mignogna is an infinitely better Edward Elric than Paku Romi. I also have a soft spot for Liam O'Brien (Vincent in Ergo Proxy) and Johnny Yong Bosch (Lelouch) as well. For some reason, however, most voice actresses just can't match up with their seiyuu counterparts.

Sometimes Japanese doesn't fit. English is much more appropriate to the situation when the anime takes place in America, like in Baccano.

Depends on whose dubbing and how much time was put into it.

But its hard to find good dubs that I would not mind watching.

No.

Some anime have English dubs that are equal to or even better than the subs.

See : Ghibli movies, Cowboy Bebop, Bleach, Baccano!, Gurren Lagann, Code Geass and so on.

IMO.

You sound like an incredibly intelligent person with a far greater understanding of both English and Japanese than I have. I respectfully disagree, but you are obviously far more 'in the know' than I am.

Sentai have cut down to one show a month (Not really a loss, their stuff is awful) but Funimation are dubbing, like, 90% of what they pick up every season with the new broadcast dubs thing. And fortunately with only a few exceptions (Those exceptions not being from my own experience but from other people's accounts) there hasn't really been any loss in quality.

Even a few niche titles like Yuri Kuma Arashi are getting dubs within weeks of their first episode (Which I'm EXTREMELY thankful for, especially seeing as it's the only Ikuhara series with a decent dub).

No, because Funimation Studios, Bang Zoom, NYAV Post, New Generation Pictures exist.

Yes, because other ADR companies exist that are not them.

Are you talking in general? if so, no. There is a lot of games, where I think the English voices are better than the Japanese counterparts. Disney/Pixar animation, stuff like the Boondocks etc.

In anime? most definitely

Voice actor is not a thing you can really compare it's just depend on taste it's not like numbers for exemple that you can easily compare.

Dude, you should know by now, that this is basically the Sub VS Dub debate all over again, right? People who watch subs will say yes to your question and people who watch dubs will say no or sometimes.

But it's like you said, everyone has a right to have an opinion.

Not really awful but most of the time inferior to sub and almost always there is 1 character or 2 that are extremely annoing sounding.

There are exseptions to this rule. They often cant seem to kick that emotion and reaction level.

Well then let me educate you about MAL:

Any discussion involving dubs will degenerate into a sub vs dub shit slinging fest if it goes on long enough.

I acknowledge that almost all subs are better than dubs. That being said, I watch dub from time to time for a couple reasons. One, I like watching shows that aren't set in Japan dubbed because it just feels better a lot of the time. Stuff like E7, Planetes, etc. Second, it's a lot more relatable hearing someone in your native language than reading subtitles (of course the argument there is LEARN JAPANESE, and I'd do that at some point, but for right now fuck that). Third, just because the dub isn't as good doesn't mean it isn't still good.

Fourth reason is motherfucking Ghost Stories. Fifth is motherfucking Greg Ayres. I don't care what you all say, he is a god.

The dub voice actors need to be held accountable when they ruin and subsequently don't do their jobs, they need be thrown in jail or fined for fraud, this isn't some little " oh I did this scene wrong hahaha" they're ruining franchises and costing companies millions of dollars with their sht acting.
