This was definitely one of the better ones. Man, kinda unexpected & good in weird way. That artstyle reminded me of Kiseijuu ❤ Really liked the message in the end saying: "Let this tale forever remain a work of fiction..."

From what I can gather it's based off a novel. This tries to cram in the main points of the novel into a short film, which makes the whole thing feel confusing. The plot sounds like it would be interesting, even if it is a bit propaganda-like. The only thing that doesn't make any sense at all to me is GK being at the violin girl's house later on.

Couldn't help but think of the elevens in Code Geass.

This seemed to be focused on political corruption. Smoke and mirrors. I'm not sure if there was much of a story in that chaos. It kept me interested though. (what a slut)

I was thinking about Code Geass aswell, especially the opening sequence.
This could be great material for a movie of some sorts.

wow, didn't expect a story like this. a bit to much for only 7 min but nonetheless a great piece of art. it's sadly something that will never be made into something bigger.

Very disturbing and moving. Easily the darkest of these.

"Let this tale forever remain a work of fiction."

Yeah, no kidding...

Man, this was captivating to watch.
I didn't exactly get some of the specific symbolism, but the story they convey here seems far too prescient, especially with the current state of US political affairs.
Scary stuff.

That was quite...something. A number of nationalistic themes being played to the scenes of political uprising, war/death/poverty, a coup, and the subsequent violent destruction of Japan's government. Hell, there was even Auld Lang Syne being played to bagpipes at the end. I really enjoyed the visuals as usual, particularly with how each scene transitioned into one another, though the overarching message was a bit lost on me. I just didn't expect a work this heavy to sneak in, but I appreciate the cautionary tale it told. I suppose its short length benefited the message. As a full length film, it wouldn't have been as poignant. I see Tadashi Hiramatsu has done key animation work on the Ghost in the Shell series, but the short itself reminded me more of Jin-Roh for whatever the reason. Just...a lot more...blatant?

Someone has to hate China a lot there I guess. And there was even shot of Hillary winning an election what a joke.

All in all, not very good attempt on dark future and end of civilization. They just shuffled events time-wise to make this look artistic but it was actually just sum of all fears of modern Japan.
Yes, it was just meaningless propaganda instilling fear into people (to viewers). Not to mention it didn't work well as a short, it would need to be longer to deliver better and clear message.

"Subarashii" short!!!! Patriotic and wi th the background bagpipes driving the animatin, great!!!

I hope in the future we will can watch this short transformed in a film, not series, because the politic hidden plot is for a film, not a thriller series!!!

That escalated quickly xD That's high quality NTR right there.

A political apocalypse showing that humans will always find a way to mess things up is basically this. It looked like Jin-Rou a lot.

The part reaching the end was nonsensical tho. Nice message at the end.

Whether you see a message or a propaganda or just a tale no one hopes to come true, this short managed to fluently convey the feeling of fear, loss, helplessness and immense sadness.

A more interesting piece than the last ones, maintaining the same level of work in drawings and animations. The whole sequence seemed pretty well build too.

@CodeBlazeFate Do you have 6-7minutes to invest on this short film?

Cool, but it's pretty hard to follow an 8 minute long political drama. Either that or I'm just stupid.
