My favorite quotes from animes:

Those who seek miracles will never experience one. The hand of salvation only extends to people
who try to make miracles happen. - Ef a tale of melodies.
I destroy worlds. I create worlds. - Code geass
We are humans. - Shinsekai yori
100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and a 10km run EVERY SINGLE DAY!!! - One punch man

I haven't watched these but it seems like a friend of mine (boy) who likes anime has the same taste as the guy your interested in.

He's seen (From the top of my head, he's seen loads but I can't seem to remember any):

Tokoyo Ghoul
Parasyte

Sorry if it's not really what you're looking for :)

I guess everything tastes good when I’m with you”

You should give the guy a lot of romance anime until he gets lovey-dovey huggly feelings, and then hold your arms open and jackpot.

I would have started by asking him what kind of anime he likes and if he has any genre preferences, then reccomend something from that. Better chance of success ;)

Personally, I'd say Mirai Nikki would be a bad choice.. But that might just be because I didn't like Yuno.. Or the "Yuki x Yuno" couple.

How about Kara no Kyoukai, Tokyo Ghoul or Fate Stay/Night?

I know these aren't the most romantic anime, but they still have action and are pretty shounen-ish, so it should still match his tastes.

I would like to show him Seitokai Yakuindomo because I consider it to be very funny. What do you think?
Oh and thank you for all the suggestions!

well Mirai Nikki was the anime that got me wanting more, but Tokyo Ghoul sounds like the safer way to go

Berserk - The manliest anime on the planet!
Break Blade - Mecha anime.
Code Geass - Best alternative to Death Note
Mirai Nikki - Full of psycho's and a cool ass plot. Bitch ass MC though.
Psycho-Pass = Really cool Sci-Fi anime with a really concept.

Seitokai Yakuindomo is a great anime but it has nothing to do with Death Note or Attack on Titan
Code Geass
Claymore
Steins Gate
Kara no Kyokuai might be good choices.
