The thing about Type Moon is that they turn men from myths and legends into waifus and this is something that has really annoyed me. They have done that to Jack the ripper, Frankenstein's monster, Sir Francis Drake etc so as to turn them into fanservice material for desperate fans. It is unnecessary and very stupid in my opinion to genderswap a legendary figure just so they can have more adult content for their porn games. |
| This thread is basically the same as the Anime Thought of the Day thread which got locked a few months and explained by Luna in the last post. Along with this thread, another thread was also locked a while back—the Most overrated/underrated anime. As stated in the locking messages, they were locked for various reasons and we have discontinued any of these threads from being made; however, sometimes some threads do get by us. An example is this thread where it has reached over 1k replies already due to late moderation of not handling it. I can't put this into any better words than Luna has already, but this thread is pretty much "Anime Thought of the Day V2." The topic title has been changed so that people can just most their "Controversial opinions" of a show, if that. There's no real difference from this and posting a thought of the day—they both could easily have the same posts being posted on each threads. Not only is this thread copying the Anime Thought of the Day thread, it's also copying the Most overrated/underrated thread at times. A lot of the opinions that're currently being said here could be said throughout the other series boards. This thread is too general and having this thread is basically killing the series board even more. And then obviously there's the occasional inflammatory one-liners people are posting, which goes back to one of the reasons as to why the over/underrated thread was locked. Did discussion happen? I won't say it didn't, but a lot of chatting also happened. Discussion will happen if you let a thread live long enough. Fortunately for this thread, it actually had discussion starting out for it unlike most simple listing threads that appear on the board, but even then that doesn't ignore the whole ordeal as to why we don't let a "General Anime Discussion thread" and or "Anime thought of the day thread." This may sound bias when we lock a lot of threads catering to simple listing, but that's because no one ever takes the time to actually discuss. There are also plenty of other miniscule stuff that is happening in this thread, but the keys points as to why this thread will be locked has already been said. Thread Locked |
