BL Manga 'Super Lovers' Gets Anime Adaptation

It was announced that Miyuki Abe's BL manga Super Lovers will be getting an anime adaptation. The announcement was made on a flyer for the June 2015 issue of Kadokawa's Ciel magazine, included in the reprint of √W.P.B.'s first manga volume. The format for the anime is still unknown.

Synopsis
While spending summer with his mother, Haru meets Ren, a boy newly adopted by his mother. Getting along with Ren isn't easy as Haru's goal is to "civilize" him by the time summer ends. Their relationship slowly improves as Haru spends more time with Ren, and in return Ren steadily warms up to him. Can they really become a "family" at the end of summer?! (Source: Bliss)

The flyer also announced that the magazine will include a bonus DVD with the latest PV for Junjou Romantica, whose third anime adaptation will begin in Summer 2015.

Haven't been following it since chapter 12 I think since I'm not too much of a fan of large age difference (especially when one of them is really young), but I like Abe Miyuki's art style a lot, and I remember how beautiful Hakkenden looked in anime, so I'll be looking forward to this! If it's Studio DEEN again, then I can expect the same visuals ^^ (though I guess I would rather hear a continuation of Hakkenden, but that's obviously never going to happen)

Yeah I think JC Staff would work too. I only said DEEN because they animated Hakkenden and I knew that they made Junjou Romantica, Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, and Hybrid Child (although I haven't seen any, will watch Hybrid Child soon though :> ). I know JC Staff made Love Stage, but has A-1 recently made any BL stuff?

Watching two real men kissing each other is stupid and so disgusting. I only enjoy yaoi when it has trap (male that looks like female).

Miyuki Abe has the most gorgeous artwork I've ever seen in any BL manga. This is the best news of 2015 so far, I'm so excited! :)

Komatta Toki ni wa Hoshi ni Kike would be a better work to be adapted imho. The age gap in Super Lovers is quite unnerving. Komatta is also a superior work with a better written leads.

Well the art looks very pretty (at least that one picture, I'm not too familiar with it), but I'm not sure how much of an age gap is going on there... Not too fond of huge age gaps. I'll probably check it out anyway because we don't get a ton of BL series. Kind of seems like there have been a few more announcements lately, which is nice, can only hope we get more variety.

I can never know with yaoi, because yaoi fans generally have the most garbage of taste.

I knew it. I knew they would animate Super lovers when Hakkenden was announced. I am glad that Abe sensei is getting the spotlight after Nakamura, and I m hoping for more to come~~

Super lovers is one of my personal faves and I hope they won't change Ren's character. Can't wait!

When I was reading Super Lovers, (I haven't caught up so I don't remember) I think Ren's age kinda made me feel meh about it? Otherwise I loved it but he was just barely consenting age which I didn't like very much (also the way it was drawn makes Ren look a lot younger lol) but again, besides that I didn't have too much of a problem with it and actually liked it. I should catch up eventually. I'm just glad more BL stuff is getting the green light!

Big fan of the manga, so I'm looking forward to this. Hopefully the anime doesn't get horribly twisted and messed up, but who knows.

Also, to those who are reluctant to watch/read this because of the large age gap, there aren't explicit scenes until the kid grows up a little (and even then the "explicit" scenes aren't bad; aka there isn't any sex)
