| Hey everyone!! Well I figured it's about time that I make one of these, so here I am! xD I don't know if anyone actually bothers to read these intro posts anymore, but for those that still do, I guess I'll say a bit about myself :3 I'm 22, been an Anime fan for 14 years now. I'm a self-proclaimed Amateur Photographer. This year I'm hoping to take my G.E.D (General Education Diploma), so I can attend college next year for Photography. I'm currently engaged to Jorban (New member on the site as well). The two of us are about to start our own official Anime Group for the Ottawa Valley area. Should be fun. We're planning on having many little gatherings and picnics, possibly even LARPS, lol. And we're hoping once we're established enough, to have our own website/forums. If there's anyone here who's in Ontario and interested in learning more about the group, give me a shout :3 Anywho, I guess that about does it. It's great to meet you all, and I look forward to chattin' with you all ^___^ |

Yea that's what usually ends up happening. I use to be one of the main greeters on the AnimeNation forums way back when. We had our usual lil group of people who actually enjoyed welcoming people, and starting up lil conversations with them. Of course then eventually people starting realizing that the Welcome board was an easy way to spam, without breaking any of the board rules. I believe eventually the Welcome board was moved to the Spam section, before that however the admins removed the ability to add to your post count when posting there. Anyway it's nice to peek on the profiles of the new user and sometimes you find someone who's interesting. 2 birds with one stone :D And ofc welcome to MAL, and come to the IRC channel. |
