Are these young people from Kids React videos told to act the way they do, or do they really don't know anything about past?

I saw some of those videos, and it's not like I think they need to worship and know everything about stuff from, for instance 90s, but it all just seem to me so overexaggerated, and unrealistic...

When they are shown some old TV, or radio, they act like it's biggest garbage ever, or laugh for no reason, even though by some logic it is obvious it would now be outdated, what with technology development, and passing of time - even some of them who are 19.

I'm born in 1989, and even when I was their age, things even long ago from before my birth were normal to me - not in a sense that I would use them if they are outdated, unless they are maybe movies, some games, music, or books, but in a way that I was aware that there is nothing OMG! WHAT IS THIS PREHISTORIC CRAP!? about them.

Do these boys and girls have parents that tells them anything, or are they really just told to act like they are cut out from every form of past - even from the last few minutes?

Or is all this just to also force some current age business, and keeping up with times...

Some of them are spoiled, some just like to exaggerate, some just don't actually know anything, some have parents that don't show off things from the past to them. That's what I've gathered after having seen my fair share of those Kids React videos to old shit. The fine bros are really just playing on the nostalgia of the older viewers. I feel that this animation accurately sums up what they do:

No, they are genuinely didn't know much about the past since they are actually lab grown human clones.
Do you know that Dolly the clone sheep is born in 1996? that was 19 years ago.

They're hitting their demographic well, all they're after is that "kids these days" reaction from the audience and they're clearly getting it.

They're making the viewers feel better about themselves because they believe they have an entire generation of kids they can look down on for not understanding or relishing their relics of the past.

I believe they purposely exaggerated or have them exaggerate. I personally don't have reactions like those. I think the Fine Bros want it to play to the viewers' reactions. Get that sense of nostalgia in the viewers.

This is the ME generation. People don't care about the past all that matters is now.

Ill admit I barley know anything about 80s tech. ( one of the videos they did, well computers anyway)

I believe it's real as most kids I see irl act like that with most technology that goes farther back than 10 years ago. Just seems kids these days don't really know much about the past like past generations would.

I'm only 19 but I've always been behind in the times till the last few years so that's why I know.

Some are oblivious, some are more aware, the rest are putting on an act so they can get booked for more gigs in the future.

When people react to something for an audience, they're typically gonna overdo it and base their reaction on that audience's expectations.

I personally thought it was fucked up when they did a "Kids react" video to the Newtown school shooting.

if they didn't have a camera on them, they would react differently.

I don't think most of the 'React to' videos are very genuine. Add that to the fact that they only use the craziest/funniest/silliest reactions in the video and you might get that impression.

this

they are well aware that they are going to be on youtube, and that they are expected to make comments and be loud
i don't think they are given a specific script, usually, but things like this are never going to be their 100% natural actions
it's very likely that they have seen past videos with other people, and are taking inspiration from them

It's a show, and they're the actors. For the sake of entertainment there's a good chance the reactions are over-exaggerated. That doesn't mean they're not genuine however, but just played up for the show.

The thing is they can somewhat manipulate the things they want the kids to say by what questions they ask or how they ask them, and by choosing which footage to include in the final cut.

Reactions aside, the questions that are posed on them are stated in such a way that it's hard not to answer them without sounding ignorant or exaggerated. There's a reason I don't watch these videos.

Well they're just kids. I'm sure we all said plenty of stupid, cringe-worthy stuff when we were kids.

Lets be honest most kids don't care about the past.
It also doesn't help when history itself is censored in education.

TL;DR and I don't know the age range for kids react. But when I was little I didn't know much of the past because I didn't really care about it. I wanted to play in my sandbox or on the computer. I didn't care what music my Dad listened to. So, depending on the age of the kids, I'd say they probably just don't know.

I know of/about the Fine Bros through working with the Fine sister.

They went to SoCal with a dream and a mission - to exploit the reality show contestant pool.

Really, these kids are SoCal morons (which are already bad) and then on top of that they're the type who want to be famous. These are kids who were brought to auditions by their parents for things like cereal commercials and stridex photoshoots. They desperately want to be famous, be heard, etc.. They're not normal average people. They're fame obsessed vacuous shells of humanity.
