What a great chapter. Even though it took place in America, it had a sense of authenticity to it in regards to the people, language, places, etc. That little piece of advice to go to a place with lots of Chinese people is true. And English slang and speaking pace is the biggest part of the language barrier.

And that little story of his dead brother and his embalming was realistic I feel, since it was in China. You can tell just by the Chinese medical curriculum - while it takes a good 6-8 years to become a medical practitioner in the West (have to do some sciences before applying for med school), in China you do 4 years... (I have no idea about embalming, but it seems like it's hardly a profession since there's so little process to it.)

Anyways, I really liked the way America was portrayed. And I like Chan too. :)
