DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Wow this episode was fun. >Select your car So we get Kakoyin in a game or rather competition with a lot of stake on the line against Telence T. D'Arby. Definitely has quite the style and was entertaining. But it's really interesting to see some of his inner thoughts as well.. Really glad to see him back in action of course.  |

| Well they did about chapter 2 to 6.5, which is pretty quick pacing for this. Which leaves 5.5 chapters, so it will probably be about another episode and a half. I wish they were pacing it like this earlier, instead of forcibly making the fights be contained within 1-2 episodes. That would have made those episodes better and they wouldn't be in a position to rush now. Great ep though, SERECT YOUR KAA and the video game music was probably my favorite part. This is definitely a fight that will surpass the manga counterpart being that it can capture the video game aspect more fully. |
| D'Arby Otouto's hobby is quite similar to his big brother's with the only difference being the soul keeping mediums. In a way, he's creepier than the gambler. That car racing was so intense! F-Mega really is a challenging game. But even so, Kakyoin and Telence are such pros. I especially loved Kakyoin's spinning technique to stop the opponent car's acceleration. Pretty awesome! Decent episode. Kakyoin will most likely lose in the end though. Jotaro needs to win the baseball game. |

| Even after all the weird crazy shit that's happened so far in this series, I still can't get my brain to accept that they're actually having a video game stand fight. It just looks so silly seeing this giant buff men sitting down at a tv screen holding video game controllers and playing a racing game, even more so than anything else that's happened so far. Having said that, I'm still loving it and having lots of fun, so it's all fine in the end. Also it's worth mentioning that I play lots of video game myself, and FUCK THAT GAME. Driving around in a dark tunnel where cannons just show up out of nowhere and blast you? That would get me angrier than losing at mario cart. |

| Now that I think about it this kind of reminds me of the beetle fight in Jojolion, these sort of indirect stand battles are silly but intense. I'm glad they picked up the pace and skipped the OP since a lot of the stand battles up till now felt too slow for me. |

| The pacing here was actually pretty good. I feared that it would be 3 parts since we had a 3-episodes-per-chapter deal so far, but now it seems is gonna be around 2.5 at most. Can't wait for DIO's World. |

| I have to be honest, I've never liked the Atum fight and just going off of this episode that's not going to change. But enough on that, let's focus on the positive; the scene with the dolls was very creepy and well done, Joseph channelling his inner Speedwagon was hilarious, Kakyoin's flashback of meeting Dio was a great showcase of his creepy charisma (bonus points for including Pet Shop) and the pacing of this episode was fast so it better emphasised the high pace of the video game. This hopefully means that this fight will be wrapped up completely in the next episode and give the following fight the space aad running time it deserves. | Pretty damn good as always, I love the way they did some background for Kakyoin and liked how they turned Joseph's exclamations even more distracting/annoying than the manga. And yeah, the doll scene was quite disturbing but very good nonetheless. Next episode: |

| IMO they did pretty good w/ the game design. Like the animation seemed to differ slightly? Or am I the only one who felt this was true. Kinda sucks that they didn't make it a true retro game, but it wasn't one in the manga either and there's really no reason to have deviated from that aside from it would have fit the time that this was all going on... | Really interesting episode. This D'Arby is creepy as f**k, he is even more insane than his older brother IMO. Good to see some of Kakyoin's past about when he met dio before. The race is excellent but like some others said, it would be better if they finish it in this week episode. Overall it's another excellent episode as i expected from JJBA. Can't wait to see the following episode B) 5/5 |
