I think he meant a lot of manga have furigana beside the kanji anyway to help kids (an example being Dragon Ball), so you don't even need to know kanji to read them. It depends on the demo though.

thank you

No idea, my life would probably be very different.

Since I would never have been introduced to it at such a young age.

I am really considering this but the effort I put in will play a major role.

I would say I agree, except, there is no modern example of manga and anime which has only Kanji (Basically the script is written completely without use of Hiragana or Katakana.)

Not to mention depending if the Chinese you know is Traditional or simplified you might not even be able to read it.

Lastly, Kanji usage in Japan, Slightly differs in usage and context in China.

I'm already reading my manga (including seinen muke) and LN in japanese, wouldn't be so much of a change for the reading/watching part.

However, this would mean that to talk about what I read/watched, I would have to always go on japanese speaking forum since that kind of forum would not exist in english obviously.
Which means that while it would not change my habits in watching and reading, it would change my habits of web surfing/ for talking about them on boards.

He's saying that even if you started to learn japanese to read manga, all you would read would be shounen/shoujo muke because you would need furigana, and that he seriously doubt most peoples here would go as far as learning enough Japanese to read seinen manga (which often require a completely different level of Japanese Proficiency ).
Well, he said it shorter, but that was basically that. And I agree with him on that point as well.

Be sad and attempt to learn Japanese even though I suck at learning other languages (tried both french and spanish in high school and barely squeezed out a passing grade in both due to extra credit).

As far as I'm concerned manga is already only in Japanese, except for very few that have a good translation (and where translation actually works)

I'd like to say that I would learn Japanese, but I'd probably just give up on it.
