Looks like Isla doesn't want to get close to anyone so that they won't be sad when she's gone.

Exactly my thought.

I have always wondered what happened to the giftia after they are taken away? When I thought about it they just said they will take out their memories...so maybe they just erase their memories and give the giftia to someone else, what if that happened to Isla?

Maybe she already got her memories erased and got back in the company again and when she came back she saw everyone was sad to see her, so she deduced she is the cause of it so in the next generation(the one we see now) she is not trying to get close to anyone since she is a veteran? Kazuki said she lived with Isla for 6 years so there is still a 2year-12week left, maybe that was the time where the new generation of the Terminal service?
Or she just spent those 92 weeks serving tea?

That is just my speculation..

They are taking it kinda slow but at least they are living together now.

Next time we will probably see some retirement again but I can't wait for a moment when Isla starts to open up.

My hopes of another Eve no Jikan, or something like it, just got flushed into the abyss of eighteen minutes and forty seconds of an ecchi/harem sci-fi with repetitious comedy and last minute cheesy drama. Maybe it'll improve later, but color me skeptical...

The tsundere girl is frustrating me. I do not see why we need to have derisive dialogue like that in a show that has the right idea. It would be a different story if the dynamic was established under serious pretenses instead of "constant misunderstandings", or if the dialogue generated character development between the two. There is no need to exaggerate so obstinately.

Isn't at least some of them have worked with Isla in the same environment for some time? What's up with all these stupid "generic VN jokes" suggestions? And the idea of "human-like android" is walking on a fine line between just a fetish and an actually plot element. If the show is suggesting that Giftia is indistinguishable from a human they should elaborate it from the start. Why they are mass-produced? Why people want them? Why they are designed that way? If you can actually lay down some rules and settings then later when you know what happens it won't feel manipulative because the writer can't just put whatever he wants to dictate the outcome of the story.

Is Isla just messing with Tsukasa or is she programmed to avoid any conversation that has the keyword "memory" in it? Looks like in this universe android is too magical.

i enjoyed this episode a lot more than the last two. i hope we continue to see a lot more scenes between tsukasa and isla!

i feel bad for her. she doesn't want to make memories, i assume, because she only has so much time left. poor tsukasa too!

the comedy in this episode was excellent too. tsukasa is a dork. ♥

I liked the point of all the shenanigans this episode, as simple as it was. It just felt so uninspired and formulaic. We had to go through a whole episode of cringey harem jokes just to get that Isla is distancing herself from people to lighten their emotional burden when she expires. I feel like we're going to get a lot more unfortunate padding like this before we get to the tragic ending, because there just isn't enough plot key material.

Great episode, I think well portrayed the feelings of the protagonists, with Tsukasa trying an approach and Isla trying mater a distance between them, had also great comedy scenes, silly things but fun

I think Tsukasa should have a stronger personality, still has much to develop, and Isla is well closed as the relate to others, but I think this can not be helped by now, it takes time for this, but will be that they will have enough time?

I second that. Still have mixed feelings about whether this would be a tragedy or HEA...

I think this episode was what I was afraid of the most. The cheesy rom/com direction was not what i wanted. Well her accepting a present is sort of a way of developing her personality a bit....but still I thought this was one of the weakest episodes so far.

Hopefully it will get back on track next week. The sci fi / SOL direction was much more enjoyable.

The severe lack of genre tags on this anime makes me skeptical

This episode gave me good laughs. The part when he was cross-dressing was the funniest. Those advice given to him were pretty much hilariously useless, yet full effort was shown from Tsukasa.
That aside, I think she doesn't want good memories like that to disappear when she's close to her time limit.

The OP is really growing on me. That scene in the amusement park was a bit sad. I think they'll come back there since the Ferris wheel was highlighted in the OP. Can't wait for next week.

The Evangelion reference was pretty surprising. Totally didn't expect that in this kind of show!

Seriously, this saddens me. This episode felt like day and night compared with the first one. Isla became emo for no reason and made this episode painful to watch. Also, why the hell would you repeat same joke so many times? This episode was one of the worst this season, I guess on par with second episode of Owari no Seraph.

I hope whoever came up with the idea that "each episode of our series should have 20 minutes of non-plot related, canned slice-of-life and two minutes of plot-relevant drama-hinting" is now working for a garbage company.

Whoa, why so much anger? Isn't it pretty clear that the relationship between humans and Giftia is the actual plot? Or more precisely, how they deal with the fact that their memories will be gone and they'll die sooner than most people?

Yes. My problem is that this was only brought up in the last two minutes and it wasn't exactly Her-levels of development to begin with. The rest of it was just terrible jokes that did not add anything new to what we know about the relationship between humans and Giftia, and it doesn't help that they repeated the joke seven times and even threw in an Eva reference for no real reason other than every anime has to reference Evangelion these days. Imagine if Her spent fifteen minutes on Joaquin Phoenix trying to impress his computer girlfriend through antics you'd expect to see from Family Matters. We'd have thought Spike Jonze had lost it.

I can already tell, not that it's a bad thing that is gonna make me shed manly tears by the end.

Isla is adorable and I don't think if I was in Tsukasa's position I'd be able to handle losing her, even after the small amount of time they have spent together.

Even with things like Owari no Seraph etc, this is still anime of the season for me and I doubt that will change. I love a series that stirs "dem feels!"

Tsukasa is having a tough time living with Isla. Dat Chuunibyou reference tho.
Just the mention of the word 'memories' has Isla running away. She doesn't want to hurt anyone.
But it seems to me like that gift will add to the upcoming feels.
I’m always searching for something, for someone. This feeling has possessed me I think, from that day… That day when the stars came falling.

Was a funny episode, it seems the direction of this anime to my liking, got to give you all the fun and comedic stuff then smash you with the dramatic and spiritual stuff later( hopefully it comes down to that). Sort of reminds of merchant of venice by shakespeare, :P makes you laugh in the beginning then throws you its the dark comedy that is drama haha.

by the way, i really like Isla's character look, she's very cute and easy to look at, unlike the sexy tsudere michieru(though she looks nice with glasses on). haha

Reading comments here I feel like I've watched something different. What I saw was a complete garbage. Lame comedy cliches without an ounce of humour in them, just plain stupidity and a retard of a MC looking for advices from a bunch of cretins. Not to mention it's riding on bad plot devices with no logic behind them. You can't use "it's fiction" to explain everything, it still has to make sense which can't be said about this series.
