| I've watched/watching most of the popular shounen anime already, so I'm considering giving Jojo a try. But...... it looks weird. Can someone give me an honest opinion if it's good or not? I prefer anime with really good story progression over endless episodes of fights/action, so is there a good balance? |

| Mojo Jojo? I never found those girls particularly interesting, pretty static characters. If you're referring to a specific Anime or something, this is the wrong board. |

The fights are pretty abundant but it's the main selling point of the anime and manga. The story is mostly pretty straightforward and not that important. But it that doesn't bother you too much, I think you should still give it a try, it's worth watching for the excellent fights alone in my opinion. |

| JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is one of Japan's most prolific manga series and slowly becoming a huge success in America. JoJo does have a plot despite what others say. However, it is long and drawn out. The entire story is explained in the first 6 parts. Part 7-8 being unrelated. The anime has only adapted parts 1-4 so its still being released. What's unique with JoJo is the different parts. Each part is like an individual story. So if your not fond of a part, you can still expect something new in the next one. It also helps keep the show new and original. JoJo has some of the best fights. The protagonists generally have to use their quick-whit and brain in order to stay alive. Unlike just getting a random power-up like most modern shounen. JoJo has been an inspiration in Japan for years and has been referenced everywhere. Even games like Persona 4 were extremely inspired by JoJo to the point many people debate Persona 4 is just JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable. Regardless, the series is a journey hopefully it becomes one of your favorites. You can either read the entire 117-volume long manga, or just catch-up on the current anime. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is truly a classic and should be seen by anyone who loves shounen. |

| As far as shonen is concerned, Jojo is def my absolute favorite. It's colourful cast of characters, myriad of imaginative powers, quirky sense of humour and unique, thrilling narrative is what gives it such huge appeal. |

| It's quite overrated. Of the four animated sagas, two are average while the even numbered parts are great. |
