I hope people aren't actually taking this show seriously. You can tell it's not supposed to be taken seriously, I mean, the explosions kind of scream at you, "Yeah this is for comedy, turn your brain off" I actually like this, it made me laugh and it's entertaining. Just mindless entertainment. It's obviously for fun.

If its bad on purpose, its still bad.

Making something intentionally bad is an art choice.
I get that you don't like it and that's fine, but dismissing something just because it was made "bad on purpose" is ridiculous.

Inferno Cop was funny because it was Trigger pissing about. This is literally a failed production they're passing off as them pissing about, which makes it incredibly cringe-tastic. I honestly didn't make it past the first three minutes.

Never got to watching Inferno Cop, but I found this to be pretty funny.
I'll stick with it but the laughs I get from the crappy animation might ware off after a few episodes..
The animation style feels a little like watching Aqua Teen Hunger Force again~

Actually Inferno Cop is known more than KLK in the west simply because its short and easy to watch anywhere really. Kind of like that hentai gay anime that scarred people for life and reactions.

Well at least in all the chans(except 2chan because you know).

Ugh no... KLK has aired on CN, you really don't get much more mainstream than that in the west.

Wrong, I've seen half of Inferno Cop, dropped that, and this is even worse. (This isn't even slightly funny like Inferno Cop sometimes was)

If you disliked Inferno Cop then, why did you even bother with this anime?

yeah this animu is basically an Inferno Cop 2.0 and I luv it!
dunno y dis animu received more hate compared to Inferno Cop.....

Because back in the day and still, Inferno Cop is a pretty under the rug anime, and Trigger is still riding that Kill La Kill hype. I guess expectations were just set higher for this anime, which it seems were not met because people wanted this to be something besides an innuendo comedy.

I wasn't at all, and to tell you the truth, as soon as they put in that poster with those moe-girl looking characters, I was about to not pick it up.

But I was already downloading it so I just decided to watch it. It was a great watch. I was surprised.

I don't see what everyone is so mad about. It was quick, funny, and had good action.

More laughs this episode than the whole Inferno Cop series. But the length of one of this is pretty much half the whole IC series, so not much of a comparison.

I saw the trailer, but totally forgot, so I technically came into this blind.

According to some posters here, it appears the light-novel is pretty much "a joke", so this adaptation seems fitting.

Another guy said each episode will have a different director, so future episodes may look and feel very different to this first one.

Either way, I do not mind.

At first, I was like - WTF?

I watched this again, and the series appears to be actually really cool and promising. Not trolling, I'm being serious right now.

The novel was much like a parody than an actual thing, so I guess the animation just takes its steps. The humour is highly experimental and trash-like, but still, the action sequences are awesome, aren't they?
Very enjoyed the sushi part.
The thing is this animation is not for everyone, and one needs to "adapt" to it to enjoy it.

TL;DR ver.: 2DEEP4U; It's not a bug, it's a feature.

Oh yeah, I decided to give Inferno Cop a go after watching this episode. It was cool and all, but nothing surpassed the police brutality scene. I laughed so much at that scene that I had to make an effort to stop laughing so that I could actually breathe! lol

I wonder how many people know that the whole backstory of the series was fake... and that this came out of a series of tweets by some random guys....

Oh yeah.. and here's a link to the 'novels'. God, they're as hilarious as the anime.

No it's not. There are already 10+ volumes translated and sold in Japan.

The 3 chapters you've linked are directly taken from the novels.

ehhh. It had it moments but now we see what happens when you drag inferno cop out. I think it shoul have stuck with one animation style then switching between two. Even though I thought it was bad its kinda satisfy to see something try to be diffrent then be committee safe.

I hoped it would be more, er, animated. The novelty weared off around the 3rd episode of Inferno Cop, and now I just don't have the patience to sit through 15 minutes of static images wriggling around the screen.
I understand the concept, but on the other hand I don't find it interesting enough to put up with them going so cheap on their viewers.

I would watch this if the episodes were shorter (3-5min, like Inferno Cop). 10 minutes is just too much of this at once.

I ... I don't even know what I expected O_O I liked the OP and the music, but like ... this "animation" and "artstyle" ... I don't know lol. I'll give it a couple more episodes but I'm not expecting much anymore ... basically we just have a guy who swore to kill all ninjas because ninjas killed his family ... and uhm ... welp, yeah, that's about it. The animation though ... it burns D:

Search the names of the American authors. Both of them don't exist except on the same website where I posted the novel links. It is also 'translated' word by word on Twitter of all places. The twitter postings are basically the 'novels'. Whether the compiled tweets are actually sold in Japan or not, I can't tell.

Also on the same website is the first four chapters of the manga. http://otakumode.com/sp/ninjaslayer/manga. I'm not sure if these links are even valid since I used multiple proxies of different countries and all of them returned dead links.

Of course you can't find anything about an author who calls himself Philp Ninj@ Morzez. I have no idea why you're saying the origin of the series was fake. Although it's translated on Twitter, the two of them are still the authors of the series.

Believe it or not they made an appearance in this PV:
