| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- So the series didn't outright state it, but it seemed to imply that Muryou was the reincarnation of Mugen. Or his original form before he lost control of his powers. Man, I'd love to see the tragic backstory that lead up to this point, with the war between the Federation and Alliance and the fights between the heroes. So my questions about the origins of the people of Tenmo have been answered. They're descendants of aliens and humans. Setsuna created the clan when she took a human lover, and they took on the duty of protecting what was left of Mugen, to prevent the power from being abused again. Nayuta is a descendant of Setsuna, but also related to Asougi, one of the original heroes, who fell in love with Nayuta's grandmother. That's probably part of the reason she was so compatible with the Shingu - she had the bloodline of two heroes running through her veins. It was a good series. I would have preferred more drama so that I could get more emotionally invested in it, but the story was interesting. A 7/10. |
| The show felt like it didn't know how to plot its own story sometimes, it took 1-11 eps to be plot and story that was important. Episodes 12-20 just aliens being drunk and tiny bit of lore here and there, then 20-26 being the final big explosion of plot. I feel like if it had been 30 eps, or the final ep could have been an hour long, it could have done itself justice with an amazing ending. Either way, the ending was good enough for me. A lot of questions FINALLY answered, more still lingering, but sometimes... The mystery is half the fun :) Great show. It should have a slice of life tag with the pacing it has, honestly. 8/10. |
| That escalated quickly, and was solved just as quickly. I think the show wanted to be a story about galactic politics, alien slice of life, and magical combat. I’m still not completely sure what I just watched, but...yeah. That was a strangely nonchalant, tensionless show about alien invasions. |
| I'm gonna be honest, I loved the relaxed tone the series had for most episodes. Too many anime like to being overdramatic for the sake of it, so watching this felt very refreshing. |
| Pretty good show but I have a few questions What's with that inward and outward analogy about the Shingu power cause it confused me,what were they trying to imply by Muryou saying he came out of nowhere and what's with a lot of people saying he's a reincarnation despite the show not stating it anywhere ? |
