The times where you could openly celebrate your fanboying for the show are definitely over. |

| The only popular series I liked is Dragonball Z. I usually avoid most of the long running shonen series. I like series that are different and less popular, so I wouldn't have the same criticisms that you face. I just think it's more fun finding more obscure anime series than just watching series that the Cartoon Network, etc., throws into your face. |

| Welcome to the wonderful world of gate-keeping! :D Some fans like to think that having watched a lot of anime makes them special (it doesn't) and that this gives them the right/obligation to make fun of people they perceive as newcomers (it doesn't). Just because an anime is popular doesn't mean it's somehow less good for it. |
