| Ecchi shows usually aren't my cup of tea, but I had a good time watching this. However, the fan-service scenes were done in such a way, that I could get a laugh out of it. I'm looking forward to the next episode. |

| Man finally one of my fav manga got turns into an anime. A good start, like everything so far. I find it hard to like the voice for Soma...and does not match Soma at all. Other than that its all good. P.S I call Megumi as best girl! |

| I was expecting it to be like this but it was too much. I will deffinitelly be enjoying this one although I would like to hold back on echii unless it's the food reaction, because those reactions are making this story the best. If there is one thing that I have to complain about (something I knew I would hate) is the Soma's voice actor. I don't like when I hear this same voice as an MC once again. When it's a side character, fine fine (like Kiritsugu for the win) but this voice again, really? I mean really? Still apart from that the story will defend on it's own and just like the first chapter of manga grab me in the past the first episode was nicely done as well. It's hard to believe that it was J.C Staff that made it. |

| I'd just like to start off by saying that I love the dynamic between Souma and his dad, but holy shit this episode was AMAZING lol The foodgasms, the fanservice, the manservice, dat OST dat art and animation, DAT DELICIOUS FOOD!!!!!!!!!! Oh my god I was in heaven xD Souma is the epitome of a badass motherfucker....Like this kid is way too awesome, I am seriosuly in love with Souma....His personality, his smug attitude, his rivalry with his dad, his food and the prepapration of it oh my goodness he is too great Serves that bitch right for trying to take over the store, but Souma got the last laugh like a boss!! I fell on the floor laughing over the fact that his dad closed the shop anyway lol I'm really hyped for this season even more than I already was and this cooking academy place has me very interested and excited (I already love that girl that appeared in the post credit scene) P.S. DAT ASS THO OP and ED were pretty good too imo, best first episode of the season so far imo |

| Well that was..... orgasmic...... They skipped the bit about Soma's "guinea pig" admirer, but on the whole they did a decent job on animating the intro chapter. As explicit as the foodgasim's were this episode, don't expect something similar throughout. More often than not it'll be Man-gasims (though the female ones will all be damn good fan service). Eagerly awaiting the introduction to the Polar Star Dorm. Getting to see Erina's God-Tongue off the bat was a treat. This entire episode was one big "I found the Hentai" collage, beginning to end. Can't wait to see more actual cooking on the show. On the whole a decent start. |

| The animation REALLY doesn't do the manga art any justice. That's to be expected, but the manga looks much more vibrant even though it's black and white. The character designs don't look too good either, they all look much more attractive in there. Also the fanservice looked even more ridiculous animated and it almost feels like they exaggerated it on purpose. I got used to it quickly before, but I don't know how well I'll handle it if they literally put "boing" sound effects everytime a boob jiggles. The animation being so subpar doesn't really help it, ridiculous fanservice is much easier to swallow if it at least looks pretty and not... like that... On the good side Erina's voice is perfect and the ending is cute and I'm excited for the other characters' introductions. But I won't be expecting much. I feel like the anime isn't going to capture the mood of the manga so well. |

| As a manga reader, I think they did pretty good job adapting the manga Animation is very good, over the top reaction nicely done, the manga's art still better but that's within expectation, okay music It's gonna get more interesting and I'm looking forward how JC staff will handle it. |

| OMG this is perfect the fanservice and the foodgasm are just like I imagined them in the manga definitively on of the best shows of the season. Souma is such a bad ass. the cooking scenes were very well done dynamic and the presentation was over the top The only problem I have is OP song, its to calm and it doesn't go well with the flashy animation of the rest of the episode. I probably have to get used to it or skip the OP. |

| Oh man, that was enjoyment incarnate! Don't know if I'm liking the VA for Souma and Erina yet. Maybe it will grow on me. Question though: the video I watched translated the name of the school to "Engetsu Teahouse Culinary Academy" while I've always seen it being called "Tootsuki Tea Ceremony and Cooking Academy" (or a shortened version of that) in the (fan-translated) manga. Which one is the 'correct' translation (if either of them is one)? |
