Basically:

Asseylum-hime = Gary Stu and Mary Sue's love child. Both Slaine and Inaho revolve around her like the good little satellites they are (even though she's asleep for half the show), and even the very plot must bend to her will.

Inaho = Edward and Bella's robot love child. He's as emotionless as Bella Swan, but he does have a penchant for spying and reading other people's lies with his cyborg eye, the same way that Edward Cullen can mind read those around him.

Slaine = Suzaku and Lelouch's disappointing love child, born from yaoi-fangirls' insatiable need for homo-lust. He started out in the 1st cour as the discriminated Other working for the Empire, and also wanting to save/protect the Euphemia-expy just like Suzaku. Then in the 2nd cour he somehow shifted into Lelouch-mode by rising through the ranks through killing his father-figure -just like Lelouch!!- and politics manipulation, then in the end, the people turn all their hatred towards him as the embodiment of evil, and then he 'dies', taking that hatred with him, which brings world peace -again, just like Lelouch!!- except, you know, he doesn't die for real, but is secretly locked away by Mary Sue 2.0.

Tbh I like all of the characters, but if I were to choose one I would say Inaho. He seems...cocky sometimes from my own point of view.

I feel like Inaho character is like,

I don't give a shit.

Goddamn why people are always talking shit about Asselyum too.

*sigh* now I'm feeling stressed. Even though the show is over, it'll forever haunt me to this day due to every stupidity in this show.

I don't see how Slaine is a coward. What he has proven is that he's quite the opposite, in both seasons. Many of the things he did in seasons 1 and 2 made sense, if you think about it. I don't see him as bad or inconsistent, rather, he acted fully what was in line with his character.

Inaho is the worst because he is too perfect, to defeat an enemy that I felt his character is too bias. When the author made his character, I didn't felt any connection, he always defeat his enemy in an overpowered way that the outcome of a battle he always appears as a victor.

When this used to be airing, the battle between Inaho and Slaine fans was so damn fierce... It was one of the reasons AZ was worth watching, mostly because the show didn't offer many...

On topic, I had to look up who Klancain is. Damn I had forgotten how both Inaho and Slaine got screwed over in the end by this dude, hilarious twist.
5 main aspects I base my ratings on:
1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...
