Im glad. It was expected but still glad it was confirmed so soon. Personally, I felt Diomedea did a pretty damn good job and expect a similar or better experience this time around. |

Yea, I want(ed) that as well. Basically, the fandom has further developed really awesome personalities and quirks for the abyssals. In game, you don't get much... but outside of the game, there's a lot. I don't see why they couldn't go with that for the anime. Maybe the game devs don't approve? But that'd be lame. It's much more fun to see the abyssals as their own competent faction with actual characters, rather than just mindless enemy monsters (of fallen ships). And yea that's exactly what the fandom combined with the few lines in the game has provided. But if Hoppou appears in S2, then I don't see why she couldn't stick around for a while at least. Even in the game you get some lines and stuff that hints at some quirks for her ("Give me... the reppu"). Of course she's one of the funniest/cutest abyssals if you read doujins and check fan art of her. The game devs even gave her a permanent location on a map (3-5), presumably because they like her too. Anyway, I was thinking earlier that maybe now that S1 with it's extremely basic story is over, they're free to go for something different in S2. I don't see why not. Different main characters, different focus. I definitely do think that submarines will appear, for example. They better not have Fubuki be the protagonist again.................. Hamakaze (my fav), Bismarck, Suzuya and Hayashimo. Hell they can even throw in Taigei as the MC because from what i've heard she's the most developed in the game ...so as long it's not Fubuki again, i'm good.  |

If they went all out on the slice of life aspect, probably would have said Haruna and Prinz Eugen, but since it's combat focused, will have to say Ise and Hyuuga. |
