| Volume 8 Will be releasing in about a Week and half guys, hype! Even though there's still no sign of a Volume 7 Fan Translation. I also updated a whole crap load of stuff on the Main post including a whole bunch of new release dates. | Watched 6 episodes & it's spectacular! NO, This needs more season. I'm kinda sad that crappy shows gets 100+ while this masterpiece only gets one??? That's insane. Is it because Japanese aren't buying this o.O |

| I doubt this will get a new season .I'm not going to do any research but from what I hear Madhouse has a thing for not doing sequels .If you take that ''fact'' and add the fact that they took out a section from another volume which they'll have to explain away in a new season then there might be trouble .I doubt they'll go through the pain of it and risk ruining the anime since they didn't follow the source material perfectly . |

| I've checked multiple sources for the V.4 release date confusion, I'm not a 100%. But I'm pretty sure it's going to be released on April 19th. I'll change it if I ever get a 100% confirmation that it's on the 22nd of March. Although it should've of been out since about 2 days ago. |

| Sunday at WonFes a Shiro nendoroid has been announced. Izuna and Jibril are also getting PVC figures. Maybe they are trying to see how many people are buying those to decide if they are going to do the 2nd season? |

Look, you can't count on Madhouse to make sequels. It's more likely they won't make S2 for NGNL seeing that, they did nicely with the Anime promoting the LN. The light novel of overlord had already been doing very well even before the anime come out (according to oricon). The anime is probably just riding on the cash cow and promoting the series to the west. Volume 9 just came out recently with pretty big development so i expect Mad House to have enough source material to work on now ( nothing much really happen between volumes 4-7. Source: I can read japaneses ^^. based on what being discussed on the boards in japan we will definetly get a ss2 |

I mean, since the quality of the adaptation is so good, AND since it seems to have sold well (I've read about No Game No Life a bit everywhere), wouldn't it be profitable for them to make another season? And about the ending; The two main characters haven't challenged all those other nations and Tet either, so there should be enough material left, shouldnt it? Maybe I just don't understand all the principles behind anime, but I thought that having made a good anime should be a reason to continue it, and not to stop it :D (Same with Btoooom! ... Total cliffhanger ending, but no second season <.< ) |

They already removed a little too much exposition from Volume 3 in the anime adaption, not to mention Nigredo and any mention of the PDL. The Manga is also hopeless, as it's even less detailed than the anime. To be honest, I thought Madhouse was going to do a much better job as many of their other shows last year looked great. With all that being said, I still want to see the anime adaption continue on far more than No Game No Life, Highschool of the Dead, or DanMachi (different studio I know). No Game No Life and DanMachi's anime adaptations were actually better than their respective light novels. Overlord's was not. However if they did Volume 9 justice it would be a thrill to watch. |
