This looks like fun and should make 2015 even more interesting. I already have about half of the challenges filled out just from what I've seen since January so I should be able to complete it before December.

I got 'Precursor Killers' as the random trope, but it had no anime listed so I had to get a different trope. Got 'Laser Hallway' the second time, so it looks like I'll be watching 009-1 at some point. I might actually buy that on DVD, it's fairly cheap.

I could use a recommendation if someone has a spare minute. Something fairly obscure (but easily available online) would be appreciated.

A lot of sports anime, like Haikyuu or Free. I would also reccommend Love Lab, Non Non Biyori, and Selector Infected Wixoss.

Something I'm watching right now, Donten ni Warau, just came out recently but it hardly got any attention. In my opinion, it's extremely underrated.

That trope-site was super fun to explore.
First I get something that didn't have any animes listed, but the second one was Berserk Button and there was so many to choose from. I ended up chosing to list DRRR in this, because I can't imagine more perfect example for a berserk button than a certain brute named Shizuo.

Oh ikr, I got the trope Demythification which only had Kousetsu Hyaku Monogatari as anime example listed. I never heard of it but it looks cool and got pretty good reviews, so I'll give it a shot soon.

Yes, that was my point :) It's a serious short series, but it's considered very very bad.

I think most short series are typically comedies or more slice of life style series. While Tentai Senshi Sunred isn't serious, it's a different style of comedy, should definitely have action, and perhaps might interest you more? Maybe have a look at Cromartie High School as well.

Note: I didn't watch either myself, was just hunting around a bit.

I have and neither really includes action (even one of the main points of Sunred is how overpowered the main character is compared to the monsters he "fights"). If you wanted an action/comedy short series, you might do better with Sexy Commando Gaiden.

As for short non-comedy series, you could try with Yami Shibai (no action though).

Senyuu might also be a good bet. It is a comedy, but it has some surprisingly serious moments too (I think that's more in the second season and unadapted parts of the source material though)

Would Magic Kaito 1412 count? since he's a professional thief...but not sure since it's not a labour field.

I think that's up to you, based on how liberal you want to be with the meaning of professional. Like, you could say Akame ga Kill because being assassins is their profession, but other people might disagree.

I prefer no more than 2-cour

Really dumb thought process working in my brain right now but i'm assuming all the seasonal stuff we manage to complete this year can/may also count towards progress right ?
Just wondering because it's a bit easy considering I watch so much seasonal crap. Not that i'm proud of that since most of it isn't very good at all..

It took me a bit of searching to find something you haven't watched but you should give Deadman Wonderland a try. It's pretty decent.

In some cases, it doesn't have to end in 2015, as Kineta has stated here:

Kineta said:
All anime you add to your challenge list must be completed, except for:
 a. Series which are more than two-cours (24+ episodes) in length. For example, let's say you decided to pick up Fairy Tail (2014). It's more than 24+ and still airing, so if you caught up to all released episodes, then you could count this as completed when you turn in your list.
 b. Series which are not longer than two-cours but air beyond the Dec 31 challenge deadline. So say you pick up a Fall 2015 series for your challenge list that is two-cours long. This series won't end until after Dec 31. As long as you are up-to-date with the episodes, you can mark it as completed in Dec.

Can someone give me a recommendation to fill the recommendation one please?

Don't suggest:
- Hentai
- OVAs
- Movies
- Things already on my list (PTW is okay but I'd rather it wasn't that either)
- Sequels, even to things I've already watched

Preferably something that's legally available in the UK but this isn't necessary. Try to pick something you think I would like as well. Failing on this latter front will just mean that I drop/get bored of the series and come back to ask again.

Also preferably 2 cours or fewer in length.
Weekly light novel releases (from 20/10/2014)
Bestselling light novel volumes of the year/all time* (and more in the same club).
*that there is data for

There is no such thing as shit taste. Only idiots who think everyone should have the same taste as they do.

The wording is ambiguous so I don't know if it's this one:
Watch an anime rated 8.0 or higher that's adapted from a manga.
OR
Watch an anime rated anything that's adapted from a manga that's rated 8.0 or higher.
