| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Interesting episode. We see Manami taking a lot of spotlight this week as part of Hakone Academy. I kinda like his friendly rivalry with Sakamchi this episode, a sharp contrast to the aggressive rivalry Sakamachi had with Midousuji. Episode felt a little slow because of the Hakone Academy flashbacks though. With 2 more episodes left, I expect this race to go on a bit further. Manami really brings a positive energy into this show imo. |

| The "unbelievable" feeling in the first half was really great, it gives off a feeling to smile and get teary eyes lol. Onoda is really quite amazing, to exceed so many people's standard. His mother though lol, must be another person! Manami's way of riding for the final climb, never stop accelerating until the final gear, it is quite exciting to see Manami's final form with the 10th gear. Onoda still managing to be so close, definitely excited to see which side would prevail! |

| Man this is a really tight race. I don't know if it's a good idea for Manami to keep shifting up in gears. |

| This was one of the episodes when i felt like someone slapped me when it ended...My thirst for another episode is bigger than climber's thirst for the peak and Arakita's thirst for Bepsi. Manami is weird and creepy (i think he scared even Fukutomi) but i really like him. Teshima. nuff said |

Just needs more Hime charging XD Didn't expect Fuku and Imaizumi to just stop there. I really thought they'd have one more go at it ^^; Fav part was definitely everyone's reactions to Onoda being in the top2 :3 Chillz >.<! PS...How stupid can Onoda's mom get XD |

| This anime is so simple and yet so awesome to watch. That's the magic of sports anime. Rather than glorifying it though, I realized that we have reached episode 22. What about the next season? |
| Manami's gear shifts are quite deadly. But Onoda will surely catch up soon. Once he starts singing Hime Hime, even a 100th gear shift would be futile. Onoda's mom though.. How can one be so obliviously stupid? XD The little flashbacks were nice. Toudou couldn't even finish with his opinion before Arakita moved on to Shinkai. XD Good episode. Omake was hilarious as usual! Kinjou's hand power was almost impressive there. XD |

| Manami is a delightful creep, and I love him more than anything in the world. ♥︎ And i love-love this episode. Been waiting for Manami and Onoda's fateful race since the beginning. The final choking stumble to the end is cathartic as butts. Abs, too. So excited. So excited. (Please let it the final climb be about friendship. I want one last wordless "Because I have no friends!" circleback from Onoda to Manami back to Onoda again.) |

| Manami started showing his crazy side...kids beware. Onoda...when I heard the announcer say that he got first place, my eyes felt warm... I CAN"T WAIT FOR NEXT EPS! I guess we'll see who win next. | Freakin 10th gear, Manami is absolutely murdering his legs, he won't walk for weeks lol. I think he just screwed himself shifting into 10th anyway, he's gonna get right up to the peak and realize he's trudging in mud with nothing left. Onoda's patented cadence climb in the lower gear is also ridiculous but as good as it gets, I think he's actually got this. |

| 3:48... I love these kinda moments *u* If I had any gripes about this episode, it would be just how quickly Onoda decided "Ok Iv gotta beat Manami. NOW." But I guess we've had enough development for that in the past few episodes lel. |

| Shifting-up gears while the climb gets steeper is very hard to accomplish either you slow down or maintain speed...but damn Manami keeps accelerating! Onoda time to sing the Hime-Hime power-up!!! 1.5 kilometers left! The Omake/Outro this time Kinjou got bottle whacked by Arakita because of epic fail magic! bwahaha! |

| As a runner/biker I just find it funny how they can have full conversations while being in zone 5. Not to mention it take the full 25 minutes to travel maybe 1/2 km. ROFL |

| I can only imagine the burn in the legs, yet I would still love to experience it myself now. The sensation of pushing yourself during a competition is an amazing high. Great episode as always. |

| Onoda really has come far for a guy who started less than a year ago. Manami is nuts for being able use 9th gear going uphill and perhaps 10th in order to win ...which means its time for Onoda to use his secret weapon: the power of Love Hime! |
