jesus keiichi went nuts now?O.o but that a**hole deserved it : i swear takano is the creepiest character of all O.o she's like a combination of Alicia-san of Aria and Near of Death Note O.o PS:oh and i forgot...this episode was so entertaining that i was like O_O when i saw it ended,i seriously thought that it was only 10 minutes into it :) ![]() Sayonara, papa! ![]() "Just how a mirror reflects you, people will also reflect your heart." ~Athena Glory,Aria "Whatever happens, happens" ~Spike Spiegel's thoughts on dying(Cowboy Bebop) |
Great episode! But why didnt he throw the shovel into the swamp too ? And I really wonder if it will be explained somehow why everyone always seems to know everything, besides keichii... ![]() Aesthetic value can be recognized or experienced, but it cannot be conveyed to those who are incapable of grasping its sensations and perceptions. To quarrel on its behalf is always a blunder. |
Whoops, meant to put this under Episode 12 discussion... oh well. Ugh, I seem to hate Keichii more and more as the series goes on. He's had anger management issues throughout the whole series, so I'm not surprised. "WAH, I hate you, I hope the Oishii curse gets you. RAWR, you bastard, I hope you die. WRY ME?!" He's always whining, complaining, yelling, apologizing for yelling, or just being an arse. He has moments where he's okay, but they become inconsequential to the number of times he can't resolve his issues correctly. Then again, I guess that's the whole point of the series. Everyone, in some way, is screwed up, and with each arc we get to see how he/she is screwy. Just because Mion is not the villain in this arc doesn't mean she doesn't have a "demon" inside of her. Just because Rena wasn't the main villain in the last arc doesn't mean she still isn't a psychotic wretch quick to snap. And just because we never got details on Satoko's past and issues in the previous arc doesn't mean she wasn't abused and deeply traumatized over it. Each arc handles things differently and takes a different path, but each one has the same characters with the same personalities (or so I believe). In every arc, Keichii has always had anger management issues and is quick to yell, blame, and take action. Mion is always outwardly loud and outgoing on the outside, and uses that to try and throw people off that she's manipulating them and is often domineering/controlling things behind the scenes (kinda have to when you rule over a mob). Rena has always been perceptive of others and hates being lied to. Satoko pretends to always be in control and trying to protect others when really she's lost and damaged. And Rika I don't know enough yet. The chief (forget his name) was always a manipulative bastard willing to have Keichii do his dirty work. And... so on and so on. Of course, these are just my perceptions. Does anyone else get disturbed by how apathetic some characters can be? Like Satoko was crying this episode about her uncle, and Rika walks away with her trying to be comforting, and then Mion and Rena are all, "Well, Keichii we're gonna do stuff after school today. It's going to be fun!" I think it's stuff like this that truly shows how disconnected they can be emotionally. Keichii's anger is at least something understandable. lol, "my trunk is full" says the one lady (whose name I'm also forgetting). I'm gonna predict it's stuffed with a dead body. Well, anyways, I look forward to watching the two answer arcs. I know this arc won't be resolved unless I see Kai, so I may just spoil myself on the ending. We'll see. ------- Addendum: Okay, unlike most people on here, I DON'T agree with what Keichii did. I'm not saying the uncle, bastard that he is, didn't deserve being punished, but I dislike it when people take matters into their own hands and feel that they should play the part of judge and executioner. "You're worthless so you die." I'm sympathetic to the plight, but I normally don't agree with it. Or maybe I just don't like Keichii for always being such a stupid idiot (for as much as a "genius" that kid is, he sure doesn't use his brain). I want to see the uncle's ass hauled off to jail. And Keichii's too. Even though the cop pissed me off in the episode, I was hoping the body would be found so that Keichii would go to jail. And am I the only one getting creepy vibes from the Coach as well? Thanking Keichii for killing the uncle? Saying he wanted to marry Satoko in the first episode? That he loves her and wants to help her but won't do anything about it (he won't adopt her, which I'm assuming he's hesitant on pursuing because he really does want to marry her; not reporting the abuse, which I'm assuming he doesn't because he doesn't want her to be angry at him for going against her wishes). For some reason, he just screams pedo to me. ![]() Modified by willag, Apr 24, 2010 5:21 PM |
wooooohohoho *evil face* and Keichii becomes murderer. But no matter how smart he is - why on earth is he acting so stupid? He did the phone call without preparation! The baka even forget where he disinterеd the hole!!! X@ And it looks like the uncle is even more stupid... Anyway, he made a great move with killing the bastard. He's brave to do such a thing and I like it *evil LAUGH* XD ![]() |
I was shocked that Keiichi didn't hesitate at all and killed him in an instant.I thought he would back down.Be he was quite pro..Didn't lose his focus at all.It was as if he had done it before.. ![]() |

For someone to pick up so fast is either very good, or cheating y loking at future material. Meh, it would be a so-so It's something I very first hinted on episode 7. Throughout the arc, Mion has not taken any important role, and soon after, she would become completely terrifying and somewhat scared. What does she have to do with the shrine temple? She didn't go in, and wouldnt get in any way be touched by Oyashiro-sama's curse. After, she starts bad-mouthing about Satoko. Why would she hate her? Isn't she a good friend or hers? And what was her talk about Satoshi, when we haven't mentioned him anywhere else in this arc. It was obvious Mion completely changed egos, to the point it wasn't her. Towards the end, Mion would say she is a demon, however she would say the line"I understand why Mion loved you". Exactly the same statement Shion gave a few episodes ago. Considering they are twins, it's very simple for Shion to act as her sister and fool the village as the next heir of the Sonozaki Estate. ![]() Modified by cheerioz, Jul 10, 2010 1:02 PM |
traed said: This is how i think the conversation keiichi had should have gone Keiichi: "hmm how do i commit the perfect crime...............hey mom!!!!!!!" his mom: "the first step is to not ask someone how to commit the perfect crime" lmao xD THIS!!! I seriously was like, "Yes, the perfect way to ask about how to perform a perfect crime is to just ask about it bluntly." And his mother's right, if a crime is in a detective novel, it can be solved. That's where they get their appeal, durr. :P Kind of like how this series makes you think... and LOL @ Keichii saying "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" as well. ![]() |
HAHA Keichii really messed up!!! shouldnt he know every1 in that town has the power 2 tell the future and stuff lol jkjkjk but it seems like it!!! hehe i liked when he said "When the Cicada's cry its all over." and then they cried and i was like oh noes its all over!!! but it was only the half way point ahaha and WOW he shouldnt have killed that guy!!! i mean how does Keichii KNOW it was that guy hurting her??? it could have just been Satako... but anyway it was pretty funny how everything was going wrong for Keichii!!! ![]() |
keichi was pretty BA poor little white hamster i think its a hamster also i dont see why keichi was so suprised ![]() |
Keiichi killed some one !?! i am starting to think that maybe every one is a killer ? ![]() |
I loved this episode! I must wait to see the next one, sadly. I wonder how this chapter will turn out! Can't be good, though. And Keichii's laugh reminded me just a little bit of Light's from Death Note. Don't know why, because Keichii's not NEARLY as evil! ![]() |
This. Was. Incredible. Best episode of the series so far, no question. And yes, loved "It will be over Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" :-D The tension and atmosphere in this ep was amazing...and the music for the 'next ep' segment at the end really sends chills down my spine. ![]() "Ah yes, the demon drink...'Nature's Alzheimer's' they call it" |

This becomes more twisted each episode. Instead of "anyone can die" it seems like we have a "anyone can kill" trope here. Besides, Tanako is wired. I've been saying that for a couple of episodes now but the sensation becomes worse in each episode. I think she's the one who filled Keiichi's hole, aka. she killed someone and buried him. ![]() |
I know that the sroty arcs aren't in chronological order, but are the individual episodes in the arc in order or not? Because Takano already knew Keiiichi in episode 10. And she said: We met a few times on the road''. So is that the scene where Keiichi is picked up by Takano after he buried that corpse? ![]() |
My favorite part of this episode was the conversation with his mother. I wonder if that conversation means more to the rest of the series than it did in just this episode. ![]() |

I think that was clever, how it appeared the mom was talking about something unrelated yet she was referring the confusing introduction behind "this" mystery novel, and how it is vital to the overall story. On another note, heavy character development on the part of Keiichi. Also really good to see he's not always the victim (Hopefully I don't jynx the next ep) and finally getting an evil laugh of his own. ![]() |
Since the very beginning I always held Takano as a suspect and when I knew this show hd "arcs" and she always turns up to be found "missing" i knew she wasn't missing and somehow every arc with every creepy turn has something to do with her. Plus she always does that weird face expression so something was up. Love how this show makes me get involved is like I am a detective xD ![]() |
For some inexplicable reason, when Takano said her car's boot was already full... I had this horrible sensation that there was a body inside it (maybe Tomitake's?) ![]() |
NateXsama said: How exactly was this anywhere close to the perfect crime, minus that woman. That's what I thought too. For god sakes he didn't even wear gloves. Also what the hell is with this logic? Yea I think I'm going to just kill my friend's uncle cause he's such an asshole. Always abusing my friend that I only knew for a few months. What the fuck? ![]() |
Davyu said: In this arc Satoko and Keiichii actually bonded a hell lot...much more than the anime presents actually. Satoko even shows Keiichi her secret playground full of traps and so on. So, Satoko really got attached to him and Keiichi, as an only child felt he had a little sister.NateXsama said: How exactly was this anywhere close to the perfect crime, minus that woman. Always abusing my friend that I only knew for a few months. What the fuck? But I guess this is what happens when you rush a long arc into 4-5 episodes. Also, the point of the "perfect crime" is for the crime "never to be found". That's why he buried him and killed him somewhere no one could see them. Problem was that he messed up so from the start his friends already knew he had done something, there were also witnesses that saw him go to the woods with a shovel and Takano saw him. As for how come his mother answered so nonchalantly, Keiichi actually asks in the original material about how would a perfect murder be presented in a mystery novel, because his mother loves them. That's why she starts going in detail about how no murder in a Mystery novel is "perfect" and goes into description as to why. ![]() Modified by Leon-Gun, Aug 30, 2012 12:38 PM |

XD Keichii: It will be over "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni". Love that part! I'm just really amazed by how talented the seiyuus are here in Higurashi. They're just really talented! ^_^ I was thinking the same thing, everyone just seems to know what he is doing all the time. I would not like to see Satako's Uncle's face. Probably cuz Keichii is "new" to the town. People moved to the town very rarely and ofc they will "gossip" about the new guy in town. ![]() |
Oh no, my inner gumshoe senses are coming out. Keiichi, this wasn't the perfect crime at all. You messed up from step one. Oh well, at least you got the job done. :B ![]() |
I think am having a theorem of this curse.. It's a myth and people might have been taking the cotton festival as a chance to kill the people who they want ..and then they get some mental illness which makes them kill people every year... That doesn't explain how people know about him and why some people disappear after being killed and some people's corpses are shown :? ![]() |
>16 year old guy. > Extremely intelligent. > Has a problem with someone he doesn't know > "I am going to kill him!", Wtf? ![]() |
From creepy to creepier. No wonder I like Higurashi :D That guy, Keichii is damn stupid. The murder wasn't even properly executed. ![]() |
