| As the title says, been wondering so far if this anime will get any better. I like idea of the anime and someone like the characters so far but the so-called "twists" in the plot were kind of obvious and not really mind blowing how I like them to be. For those who have already watched Monster, is there anything deeper into the series that's worth to keep watching for or does it remain dry and soap opera-ish throughout the rest? Lmk, on episode 8, should I keep going or drop? |
| Read it instead if it's too slow. Otherwise, continue with the anime. You have Gankutsuou in your favourites so I can guarantee you'll like this one too. |

| I personally think Monster got better once Tenma became a fugitive, but the way the series jumps from character to character doesn't really do the pacing any favors. If the pacing of the anime bothers you, I suggest going for the manga (the anime and the manga are pretty much identical), but the anime is well-done and has some great music, and I think the plot twists start working better later in the series. |
| Hmmm aight coo, sounds reassuring, I'll stick with it. Didn't want this to be the first anime I don't finish since I've loved all the anime's I've watched so far. Hopefully it starts to pick up for me like you all say it will. Back to my hole c: |

| Episode 8 is really nothing in the scope of this anime. I remember getting about 10-20 eps in and thinking about stopping, but i continued and Monster is now probably one of my favourite pieces of media, anime or not. Looked at what you've watched and i can see why Monster may be a bit different, it's not like watching most anime. |
