And poor Ukina..she was at the wrong place at the wrong time. I feel bad for her and Yoshimura this episode. Also interesting to see the cold season around now. Dat feels...  I want that OST before ED song this episode. This season really has some wonderful music. |

| Yoshimura's background was done justice....The moments were beautiful TwT This episode was pretty much "The calm before the storm", next week is when shit will go down....They didn't hold back with the snow and the teacups either Let the attack on Ateiku begin!!!! >inb4 people that didn't die in the manga end up dying in the anime because of Ishida giving them all these feels moments to fuck with our emotions >.< P.S. Dem illustrations tho...........The one with Yoshimura was cute but that one with Uta holding a skull (Kaneki?) with Kaneki's mask on.....Subtle foreshadowing? I think not :( |

Really calm episode but a necessary one nonetheless knowing what's about to happen in the next few weeks. I can't wait to see Devil ape and Woof Woof in their glory. Beautiful ending illustrations once again and yeah the one where Uta held a skull with Kaneki's mask was a good foreshadowing lol. |

It seems though from what I'm getting from teh early sub watchers that they didn't make a clear mention that females with ghoul babies have to eat humans |

I mean "GHOUL" babies will obviously need some kind of nutrition so the mother has to provide what's necessary for the baby. |
| Wow, you could feel the heavy atmosphere pretty well. The story of the Owl was really sad :/ And poor Yoshimura-san. His wife had to die because she was human and he abandoned his child because he thought it might be in danger. And why exactly do the inspectors know that Anteiku has something to do with the owl? I hope Yoshimura-san isn't going to die. |

| Yoshimura tragic past yet filled with miracles and moments of happiness. The sadness tinged throughout the episode made it really impacting in a way. Each cup of coffee just meant so much more, especially the last few that was served. Anteiku getting raided :/ |

| Dat build up!! Insane!! Gotta admit it was slightly slow at a few scenes though. They could've shown a bit of some other character Like Arima!!! D: but oh well I guess they really want him to debut and immediately commence to kick ass :P They depicted Kuzen's preparation for shit getting real amazingly :3 Esp the last scene when he was looking out from the window with his red eyes. BA! Also loved his conversation with Shinohara and the implication it held. Kuzen's past was really nice. Ukina was so kawaii <3 I don't think any anime only viewers would understand what "Miracle" means though so I'll just say...she ate human flesh to nourish the baby. And the hair color is totally a give away to the identity XD Sux that Ukina's death was different from the manga since the way that was done was much more impactful but still sad as hell T^T Shit is about to commence! And the ED was nice. Dat UTA!!!! |

| ah this episode was a good build up episode, and im glad they didn't have the ccg raid this episode. im wondering if theyll be able to do the ending justice if there's only 4 episodes left though |

| Not at all surprised that Yoshimura is one of the Owls, though that didn't take away from his backstory at all. At any rate, this was an interesting episode which I'm hoping is building up to some major action in the next episode or two. |

| Yoshimura has a really sad backstory. Is there going to be a fight next episode? I really hope he doesn't die. He's such a nice guy! So many customers! The whole atmosphere this episode was nice. The snow and the music.... Ahhhh it's so good! |

| That past of Kuzen! We got to see Ukina which was nice...But sad too. Loved the soundtracks used in this episode, especially Glassy Sky at the end! 4 episodes to go, and it's about to happen! It'll get real. |

| A calm episode before the storm goes down. I wasn't really impressed, yet this episode was necessary and I am glad this director specifically was in charge of episode 9. On a side note, does anyone know who's going to direct the next few episodes? |

| This was easily the best episode in the season yet. Very emotional and interesting backstories. |
| One does not simply complain about an awesome anime like Tokyo Ghoul (manga reader or not) You can't complain!, 'nuff said. 10/10 episode. |
