| I also thought it was a great episode... It really goes grab you. But Fuu confuses me, even though I'm sure she's confused by herself. Isn't she just selfish (like me XD) and wants both of them paying attention to her rather than others? Even before, she seemed jealous either when Jin or Mugen were with other women. Fantastic "cliffhanger"... I really liked the introduction of Sara. :) |
| Superb. After 2 pretty uninteresting episodes, this one was a breath of fresh air. Loved it. And the animation of the fight at the end was simply incredible. I'm picking next episode right now. |

| No surprise that Fu chose Jin to accompany Sara, but what a cliffhanger! Animation in fight scene on the bridge was excellent! Dying to see next episode! (I'm wondering-just a uneducated guess but does Mugen suspect Sara of being an assassin and he's covering up his suspsions by behaving a like a creep toward her?) |

| Very good episode, I was starting to lose interest in this for a second but this episode has piqued my interest again. I didn't expect her to try to assassinate Jin at the end that was definitely a curveball. |

| Ha! So she was an assassin! I kept switching my mind, I mean the two clues I thought were Mugen and Jins look when Sara asked to join them for part of the journey, and then in the hot springs, when Jin asked Mugen 'did you see...' which made me ecchi chuckle at first but then made me think of looking for physical prowess in her body. I was put in mind of the Zatoichi story in this episode, but weirdly joined in that instead of a blind swordsman and to two geisha, it was a travelling gozo (who turned out to be an assassin)! Awesome episode! |

| regardless of how predictable the turn of events were, i still think Sara is a badass (moreso than Yatsuha) and almost, if not certainly, hope she beats Jin down... not kill, just puts him in his place i guess ^^ that's how i feel about badass female characters rather than your usual predominantly male ones xP |

| ^ Yeah, Mugen thinks with his d*** before anything else when it comes to women. This episode was one of my favorites, if not my favorite. Sara's character has so much depth and interesting traits. I loved watching the adventures of the four of them together. It probably gave Fuu some reprieve amid the treacherous testosterone. From the beginning I thought there was something a little sketch about Sara, but I liked watching it play out. (And in fact watching these episodes on the whole is a lot like watching a movie; it's got really great storytelling and attention to detail.) Though, I will say the tone about two-thirds of the way through really hit home for me. Maybe Fuu's being selfish, but she cares about the guys even if they don't care as much for her. Losing her nakama is just not something she's ready for. Badass polearm-wielding blind women also ftw. She gave Yatsuha a run for her money! |

However, listening to it now, I have a lot more respect and while I don't actually enjoy it, I like how it sounds. . it's hard to explain. Anyway, I really liked this episode, not simply a gang doing whatever gangs do as usual. I think I've gotten a little tired of that. The animation is fantastic, though, as always. |

| ^ Cultural differences. I don't know how many times I've rewatched Samurai Champloo, but I still think that the Elegy of Entrapment Pts. 1 and 2 are hands down the best of this series. Really powerful and sad stuff here, especially with goze shamisen music setting the mood. Champloo really shines in ALL its multi-part episodes, but I just think this set takes the cake. |

Awww, and Fuu at the end being sad Jin left and didn't come back ;______________; Seems she probably has a big crush on him, bless. I can relate to my home girl. Can't we all? lol. Well, yes, at least we know Jin will soon rejoin Mugen and Fuu again! I'm glad! I didn't want them to part ways again and for good so close to the end! |
