I mean, I'm getting the Godzilla vibes. This episode was more silly than I had expected. There's definitely some camera worthy shots and I'm starting to like Anastasia a bit now from this episode. | A day in the life (and promo episode as the producer was watching behind the scenes) Kirari is hilarious as Godzilla Anastasia pretty much wowed the crowd that gathered with her cool atmosphere, she's the obvious best of the main cast. I'm glad she got a CD debut. |

It's more like they chose the wrong lolis, having best lolis like Nina, Chie, or Momoka in the main cast would've made having girls that young very exciting. We have worst girl, bland 11 year old (Miria is annoying in the anime, sad because her voice is lovely and her image song isn't bad at all), and the overrated sister of Mika (Mika needed to be in the main cast instead of Rika). |

| Well this episode sucked. The lack of kawaii girls is also proving to be more negative here than before. The girls are all a bunch of wackos. Annoying and stupid. God how I want to punch kirarin. Her voice is just annoying. She doesn't look cute either. Her entire character is annoying. That nyan girl is also annoying as hell. Ranko is another crazy girl. I don't get that loli Anzu. If you don't want to work, then why the hell are you becoming an idol? That shy girl with the fat girl what'shername is another something. If you can't say anything without your notes to a fellow wannabe idol making a video of you, then how do you expect yourself to become an idol? The only bearable girls are Riina, Anastasia, Rin and to some extent, the jougasaki imouto. The younger jougasaki is also annoying but is at least a bit kawaii so she is forgiven. Anastasia and the stupid looking girl with her, were good not to get all surprised or excited or flustered or anything like the other idiots. But Mio had to make them look stupid with them acting like a cheerleader and a whatever game player. The episode mainly depended on being entertaining through comedy and cuteness. It failed miserably in both. The majority of the girls aren't kawaii and the comedy wasn't good either. I think the episode wasted time doing basically nothing. If, and I mean if, they did this episode right, it could've made a better opening episode. They should've made this kind of episode the first or second episode. Nothing felt right here. This episode shouldn't have existed. They should have jumped to making the CD debut. Episode 5 should've been episode 4. I am seriously pissed here. A-1 and friends had one thing they excelled at (IDOLM@STER) and I don't want them ruining it. If you can't make stupid looking girls cute, then at least make the story something good. Well, at least we won't have more useless episodes later on (i hope). The following episodes should at least be better than this one, although that won't be enough. |

| That was a fun PR video. Producer chuckled. A CD Debut? I kinda wonder what it means. Besides the trio, I'm glad Anastasia and Nitta were chosen. Anastasia stands out. She's charming and her accent is adorable. Just look a the people in background looking and clapping at her. Also, Anzu is annoying. |

| meh, main problem is that there's too many girls. when ur favorites don't get enough air time & u find the rest annoying, it's really hard to even care. the 1st ep was so good until they added all these girls. quality > quantity. i'm off this train for now; better yet, i'll just go to where they show Rin Shibuya and skip the rest. |

| I enjoyed the documentary/interview style of this episode a lot. It was reminiscent of the first episode of the 2011 without being a blatant copy. Having the main trio film it was fun. I can't quite imagine our Cinderella Girls P-san going around and filming and talking to the girls so casually like 765's Producer was able to do. (Though I think that's part of CG producer's charm) I think I enjoy almost all the girls so far, most of them seem pretty cute and charming. But Anastasia really seems impossible not to adore. It's very easy to see how both her and Nitta were chosen when they had such a great interview and even gathered a crowd doing it. Also worth mentioning how adorable Rika's lion roar was, I love all her lion costume cards in the game so that scene was a nice touch. |

| Godzilla is still the greatest fear of the Japanese people. I'm also pretty sure Rin's Butterfly costume is a reference to Mothra. Overall a pretty good episode, I really loved the first episode of the original Idolm@ster and this episode was quite similar. And I can see that Anastasia pretty much steals the show. |

| Episode quite nice even if most of the narrative is devoted to fooling around, only in the end we have an advancement of the plot. Drawings experiencing a sharp decline in quality. Passable overall the episode, although it may be helpful to better understand the characters of the protagonists. |

| Nice episode. Pretty much an another introductory episode, by showing some of different side of the girls. Startin' to like Miku and Riina now, while still disliking some of the girls. :S Does Riina pretending to like rock or something? Seems unnatural for a second there hmmm... Producer-san chuckled! | I'm largely disappointed by the characters, though I expected it since I knew going in that most of the CG cast is largely defined by a single personality quirk, whereas the members of 765 are much more fully fleshed out. To me, Rin is the most realistic, though I like Uzuki the best so far(shoot me, the rest of you, go right ahead). The rest pretty much revolve around one trait and some of them are annoying as hell. I would like to see character development a la the 2011 anime, but again, like the previous anime, they're likely going to need a similar number of episodes for it. Possibly even more, since there are two more idols here(one if you count Ritsuko as an idol). This show won't really reach its full potential with just 12 episodes. Producer-san actually feels more nondescript/out of the way, like a relatively unimportant background character, than awkward. That needs to be fixed too. The girls can't just bounce thoughts off each other all day long, especially given the responses are likely to be similar from each one. And the Producer should feel more important to a show like this. There's also a major conflict missing from the story. I hate to keep making comparisons to the 2011 Idolmaster, but in that story, the whole thing was "765Pro trying to claw its way to the top with sheer talent". Right now, that sort of overarching draw is missing from CG and it needs something to get people to stay with it. I went into the 2011 anime with little knowledge of the franchise as a whole but it convinced me to stay and enjoy the adventure. I'm not saying CG needs to be accessible to people who have no idea what Idolmaster is, but it should have something to convince people who may want to try it to stick around. |

| We got to know the girls a bit more but as others have said, there doesn't seem to be much to define them other than one - often annoying - personality trait. This isn't a realistic take on idols but even so, Anzu is simply unbelievable and her don't-wanna-work attitude is not cool. The Nyan/meow girl is becoming an eyesore and I want to mute the sound every time she speaks. The others are barely any better since none of their little quirks are endearing. The music and dance has been so disappointing too. |

| Out of all the girls, Anastasia stands out the most for me due to her unique accent and personality, her looks and fashion sense do not do her any harm at all as well :D |

| The Love live Rin clone makes me want to sew an ox hand on her head and slice her belly with a rusty hook while her screams are muffled by the ox head (AHS Coven). I hated rin and she's no exception. Not too familiar with the other Cideralla girls, but they prolly could've gotten someone else to act as the motehr figure for anzu, cuz the slow talker can get pretty annoying. Too many idols atm, and they need some screen time, though, I'm really hoping for some love for Riina. |

Most of the others tend to act how I'd suppose they act anyway. Anastasia is my favorite girl outside of the main trio (well, other than Rin, actually), so I'm glad she was picked for the CD debut. I just believe that a 12-episode adaptation will not suit CG very well at all for reasons that both you and I have mentioned or implied, namely that not everyone will get development. If they do go the 12-episode route, though, I think it's fine if the main trio get the most development as you mentioned. And it's still too early, at least for me, to tell if all 14 idols are truly main characters or if Uzuki, Mio and Rin are our main focus characters. But if the production goes with the former, they're going to need a hell of a lot more than 12 episodes to get this done right. I feel that a show like The Idolmaster lives and dies not just by the plotline but by the characters as well. Unfortunately, comparing CG to the original(and I only recently finished the original Idolmaster so it is very, very fresh), I'm not getting very much of either out of CG. |

| The problem with cinderella is the character design. There are good characters like rin, anastasia and the chubby girl; good "partner" characters like chieri and mio but other characters are just annoying, like the ultra-loli girl and the "nyaa" girl. The nyaa girl (i don't even remember her name) is probably the worst cat-esque character design in the history of the japanese animation. She ruin all the moments. |
