@Sejin: I'll check into that. However, in the past the only things that I have
ordered to be shipped here (Canada) from Japan are books.

Hey, thanks! I've ordered books and some figures from Japan before, but those were via Amazon Japan and eBay. The only way I can see being able to get those plushies is if they're also being sold through a different site that ships overseas.

Why should we assume that someone can only love one other person?

True...the love between family members and the love between couples, they are different,
Maybe Lulu loves her little brother as a family member, and I misunderstood that...
...but what's Lulu's feeling about Ginko, in anime?

So Lulu is a princess! Her brother was so cute, too bad he end up dying =/ it was kinda fun when she was trying to kill him lol but once he was dead it was sad...
So I guess Ginko was related to Kureha's mother somehow...

This show is finally starting to pick up. I take it the "promised kiss" represents societies expectations regarding romance?

If Yuri Kuma wasn't so repetitive, and if the creators didn't have their heads stuck so far up their own asses, this show would be more enjoyable.

I still barely know what is going on...

Still it was cool seeing Lulu's backstory. Never would have guessed that she was a princess.

I'm late: yes, the show is finished: also yes, speculation unnecessary: also yes. And yet I have this theory that's so crazy I just have to write it down: what if Ginko and Lulu are Kureha?

Think about it: Ginko would be Cool (rationality) and Lulu would be Beauty (emotion). Rationality and beauty combined in the right amounts become Sexy (Kureha), and the Court is a debate between Kureha's rationality and emotions. Conversely, Kureha accepting Ginko and Lulu's aid against Yurizono would be her (sadly temporary) acceptance of both the existence and necessity of those feelings. I know it's far fetched, and yet I can't simply dismiss it: it would explain why the both of them are so attracted to her and why they are vying for her acknowledgment as friends.

Edit: it would also explain why, no matter what happens, it's always Ginko and Lulu in session at the Court, because it would symbolize Kureha emotional conflict during a dramatic situation (i.e. her 'falling' from the roof).

Edit 2: if that's the case, a major part of the setting is just a part of Kureha's mental world (it might symbolise a mixture of how she perceives the real world and her imagination), up to and including the class (seeing as Ginko and Lulu wouldn't be real transfer students. Hm. Maybe it's too far fetched after all.

Someone said this on here: "Maybe Suki is what you give to others, and Kiss is what you receive, hence the two interchanging letters (ス→キ and キ→ス). Suki becomes a star in the sky, and Kiss comes back to earth as a shooting star."
So in the end, by giving up on her kiss, Lulu was giving up on receiving love, and wanting to focus on giving - maybe because she felt guilty for never returning her brother's love.
This episode had very little to do with yuri, and I loved that (I think in focusing a little less on it, it gives more meaning to the kumas' feelings).
Very pretty-looking episode, too, as always.

Damn i don't like these "theatrical" shows.. they just piss me off and bore me a lot..

Penguindrum 2nd half at least became interesting (first half made me want to simply Punch most of the character and drop that shit ... was 4/10 anime) 2nd half became more interesting 5/10 and from there until end it was actually good so gave total of 7/10

This anime I'm on 4th episode, hence posting here.. and damn theatrical stuff just pisses me off :D I'll give it 2 more episodes.. if it goes on like this (or won't become any more interesting) I will drop it.

I am still confused. If they wre going over there to get Ginco a kiss then why do they keep talking about eating girls. And why do they keep eating the flower off of the lead over and over?

So the whole love/kiss dichotomy is probably about giving/receiving love?

Also, the scene with Milne falling into the sands with a monster inside was probably a Star Wars reference.

Easily the best episode so far. Excellent storytelling.

Lulu's backstory was surprising. I didn't expect her to be a princess.

Her brother was so cute. Those scenes were kinda amusing where she tried to kill him.
