Movie AWOL?

So 2014 has gone and went, and the movie is nowhere to be found. Anybody have any information on what's going on? Was it delayed for some reason, quality issues, etc? I've been looking for a news/blog post, or even a tweet, but I haven't been able to find any info on the status of this movie. This is disappointing as I was hoping the DVD/BD would be out soon so that translations could be made. But as it's looking now, there's no telling when the movie will hit theaters in Japan, let alone the 6-8 month wait for the DVD/BD release.

I can understand if they delayed it because they don't feel it's worthy yet, but not saying anything just ticks me off. I just don't want this to become another Kizumonogatari.

I'd wager the new ViVid series is being made to drum up hype and advertise for the 3rd film (As it's been a while since any new content, so the franchise isn't as relevant as it could be right now).
Assuming that's correct, we'll probably get an announcement regarding the 3rd film at the end of the final ViVid episode like other franchise film announcements (e.g. Macross Frontier)

I forgot Vivid was coming out. Still wish they'd at least say the movie was delayed instead of dead silence.

Kizu already annouce their release date. i think, this 3rd movie will be the new kizumonogatari.

First half of ViVid was alright for me. Nowhere near as good as previous seasons though. If for some stupid reason Vivio wins the f***ing tournament then that would be a mistake.

Hopefully the movie will focus on Nanoha, Fate & Hayate like the series should've been doing since A's.

From what I have been reading it's likely that new stuff will be announced at Comiket 90, wait until then before losing all hope.

So this movie was scheduled for 2014. It's now the second half of 2016, a new ViVid anime has been announced, and not a peep about this movie.

Seems like this project's dead. You know how it goes -- they get all excited and put out an announcement, but then they have trouble with the plot, or a falling out within the crew, or the funding dries up... or any number of things. And it's bad press to announce you're cancelling your plans (plus when things die slowly there might not be a specific moment when you decide "this project's cancelled") so they just never say anything.

If ViVid Strike! does well, it's certainly possible they'll look at a movie again. I remain optimistic about the franchise.

No, please don't let that happen, Vivid was the most terrible series, both story and character wise.
