This video should be posted everytime ''Shirou is a weak idiot''-thing is brought up.

And then let them search from which Anime it came from.

^Proof that that song goes together with anything that is undeniably badass.

Shirou is the king of badassery and sass.

Too bad the current adaptation is still not good enough for majority of shirou haters to shut the fuck up.

Ufo has OST?

I am sorry, the show had the music volume turned down so low for whatever reason I barely heard it.

its ridiculous that to even hear the damn ost we have to wait for march 25th

I really think it's the problem of the actual music rather than the volume. It was very... unmemorable to say at least.

THe music sounds frigging great in the OST recording sessions video preview.

The thing is, you can't even recognize the track in the anime.

One of them is just a variation of "This day and never again", not very innovative I guess.

@Fai Now don't you wish Kawai was doing the music instead?
At least his tracks are audible :P

The track audibility depends on the director, not the composer.

Composer just makes the music. THe director handles on HOW it is used.

Hence why we have 10% sound on ufofsn
and every fight with battle to the strong in zero.

But the usage of tracks is spot on. The volume, however, seems like either a technical problem or the tracks themselves are weak artistically to the point of not getting noticed unless you intentionally tried to pay attention to them (with 2 exceptions so far).

And by technical problem i mean like if the music was recorded at high sample rate and converted to lower sample rate for the TV version. It happened with some of the movies that got a broadcasting version at one time and Psycho Pass as far as TV series go.

If it's the former I'd say it's guaranteed to be fixed. If it's the later, then...

I wouldn't say it's a direction issues either way, personally, unless choosing Fukasawa it self was a mistake, of course.

The music sounds fine in the preview of the OST recording, as I said before. It is nigh irrecognizable in the show itself.

I think it is Miura's "creative" decision to make is more silent so as to make it more "cinematic".

I'm having trouble getting my head around this. How's lowering the volume all the time make it more cinematic?

Usually it's the other way around. In movies music DO get softer in quit scenes, but they tune it up to eleven in action scenes. This isn't the case here, it's ALWAYS soft.

Its literally liek taht tbh.

It sounds like the OST itself is only played at 10% of the volume it was recorded in.
I guess Miura felt it would overshadow action or something?

Music and sound fx emphasize the action. You're saying a director actually made the conscious decision to lower the music to not undermine what's happening on the screen? That's an amateur level mistake. No, not even that, that's 101 directing.

Really stupid of him. Wouldn't be the first time though i guess.

Nah, I agree with Fai, most of the tracks are pretty decent and I like quite a few, but as you'll say, too subdued.

If they just add some damn remixes in the second cour, you won't hear any complaints.

If they sound like they are being played two blocks away from where you are, then yes you will hear complaints

Quality's not that great and there's only two tracks.

1.F/Z Remix? Not sure, I think it was in Episode 0/1 somewhere.
2.Uuuh, sounds like the last part of Gil's new theme in the basement.

I remember the second one. I don't have a good enough memory to pin-point in what exact scenes it played tho'. Edit: Oh nvm, the second one starts playing when the bus crashes. And I don't remember hearing the first F/Z remix OST.
